[People News] "Come and catch me! I’m waiting for you at the Miraflores Palace, don’t take too long, coward!" This boastful statement was made by Venezuelan President Maduro in a video, where he appeared emotionally charged, waving his arms and challenging the United States.
Unexpectedly, Maduro's wish came true. On January 3, U.S. President Trump ordered the operation to capture Maduro, which had been in the works for months, to commence. A president was captured alive by the U.S. Delta Force, a real-life scenario akin to 'catching a turtle in a jar,' perfectly concluding the operation. This event shocked the world and left Chinese netizens astonished.
The Global Times Surprises with the 'Multiple Births' Phenomenon
Amidst the shock, a blogger discovered an old article from the Chinese Communist Party's official media, the Global Times. The surprising find revealed that during the times when Saddam, Khamenei, and Bashar faced significant military pressure from the United States, the Global Times had published nearly identical headlines on its front page:
Saddam: "As War Approaches, Building Houses and Roads, Why is Saddam Not Panicking Under Pressure?"
Khamenei: "As War Approaches, Building Houses and Roads, Why is Khamenei Not Panicking Under Pressure?"
Bashar: "Why is Bashar Not Panicking?"
The blogger combined these three old articles from the Global Times into a single image, with the sharp caption, "The Hand of the Emperor, Skilful Techniques; The Global Times, Always Unfazed," which attracted many netizens to view and comment.
"The article on Maduro not panicking hasn’t even been completed before it ended." "This time, Trump acted too quickly, causing them to miss out on an article fee."
Some netizens mocked the situation by imitating a dialogue between the editor-in-chief of the Global Times and its reporters:
Reporter: Editor-in-Chief, please review this article titled 'Why Maduro is Not Worried'. If everything looks good, I will go ahead and publish it.
Editor-in-Chief: Sure, I’ll take a look after I finish my meal. No worries.
Reporter: Uh-huh, Editor-in-Chief, I’m not worried.
Editor-in-Chief: You can publish it!
Reporter: No need to publish it! He doesn’t need to worry anymore!
'Not afraid of thousands of troops and horses, just afraid of the Global Times naming and reporting globally. Is this considered a curse?' 'The Global Times is just for issuing obituaries.' 'Global Times / Clouds cover the fog / Water flows / Confused and lost.' 'The situation is still uncertain; you and I are both dark horses. Once the dust settles, brothers will no longer be worried.'
'Global Times is probably just going through the motions; otherwise, the headlines wouldn’t remain basically unchanged, only the names are swapped.' 'Change a name, and it can still be used for a few years.' 'Familiar taste, familiar formula, fixed template, Global Times hehehe.'
'You can only trust the ball from the Global Times!' 'This kind of newspaper just ruins its own reputation, reporting everything inaccurately.' 'Global? Mixed ball? Bad ball?'
Expert Professor: 'Can always accurately guess the wrong answer every time.'
After finishing with the Global Times, netizens rallied and uncovered two more expert professors.
In a more ironic twist, on the eve of the U.S. military's deployment to Venezuela, CCTV military commentator Colonel Li Li predicted: The U.S. would not dare to act against Venezuela because Venezuela has China's radar and Russia's air defense systems.
Almost simultaneously, Taiwan's renowned international affairs expert Cai Zhengyuan predicted: The U.S. would take action against Venezuelan President Maduro because the U.S. deployed a certain model of helicopter, which is used by airborne troops.
It has been confirmed that Dr Cai's predictions were remarkably accurate; those helicopters were indeed used by U.S. special forces to apprehend Maduro. Dr Cai's expertise far exceeds that of Colonel Li, who has become a source of amusement for many.
A month ago, Colonel Li Li publicly asserted that the U.S. military has been reluctant to take action against Maduro, primarily due to concerns, especially fearing that he has the backing of the 'Big Brother' (the Chinese Communist Party).
In response, netizens mocked her: 'Sister is too amusing; not only has she cheered for her old friend multiple times, but each time she gets quickly slapped in the face...'; 'She consistently manages to guess the wrong answer, which highlights the strength of our military.'
'Can Venezuela, which domestic military experts have hailed as the pinnacle of South American air defence, really make the U.S. military feel like they are casually strolling in their own backyard to capture the president?'
'Li Li is the modern equivalent of Zhao Kuo; if you interpret her military predictions in reverse, they would all be correct.'
'Face is just an external matter.' 'Colonel Li is just spouting nonsense; this little Peppa Pig has never guessed right even once.' 'She is not wrong in a humble way; she is arrogantly wrong in every respect.'
'Being on a TV program shows she has performance skills.' 'Is she doing stand-up comedy?' 'This girl seems to talk nonsense every day.' 'It’s this woman who is bragging. She has caused trouble for Old Ma.'
Unbeknownst to them, it’s not just Colonel Li who has caused issues for Old Ma; Researcher Wang quickly followed up to deliver the final blow.
Wang Youming is a researcher at the China Institute of International Studies. In a speech published on 'Look at News,' he presented four key points regarding Maduro:
First, Maduro is a person of both courage and strategy.
Second, with military support, senior military leaders have so far expressed their backing for Maduro.
Third, he enjoys public support, with at least 5 million people voluntarily signing up to defend Maduro.
Fourth, there is strong backing from regional countries, including Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina.
So what happened? Wang Youming's words still resonate, and Maduro was directly 'immigrated to the United States' by Trump to serve time in prison, even being exempted from a green card. In response, netizens commented:
'What about the crucial fifth point? Is there no concern from the organisation (Big Brother)?'
'If he is so powerful, why was he taken away like a flash delivery? It’s puzzling!' 'It’s all just to make a living, let’s understand that.' 'This is exactly the same routine as the initial hype around Saddam!'
'What’s most concerning is that these military experts often give lectures to senior commanders. If they talk for too long, could these senior commanders also develop strategic misjudgments? If that happens, what would be the serious consequences? If the consequences are severe, what use are these experts? It’s even more harmful than strategic espionage.' 'It’s hard not to lose.'
'Can we create a website that specifically compiles the nonsense of experts, so that if we input a certain expert's name, it lists all the nonsense they have said? This way, experts can’t just speak carelessly anymore.'
'It’s just empty talk; they are all just trying to make a living. People enjoy hearing good things, so they try to say nice things, even if it’s insincere.' 'Betrayers mislead me!' 'These people are really enjoying themselves, not having to engage in productive work, just talking nonsense all day, and it doesn’t matter if they say a lot of wrong things.'
“Look at the strategists that Cao Cao used in ancient times; these experts have not evolved at all.” “His helpless expression suggests that someone might be pressuring him to say this?” “It seems they are also following orders from above; after all, they need to earn a salary and support their families…” “They are merely mouthpieces instructed to speak.”
Conclusion
The Global Times has dealt a blow to the left side of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), while expert professors have struck the right side, leaving the CCP with a bruised face.
On January 2, just before Maduro was arrested, the CCP grandly sent a special envoy team led by Qiu Xiaoqi, equipped with substantial funds and over six hundred agreements, to convey a gesture of goodwill from the “Big Brother” to Maduro. The interaction was quite lively.
Consequently, right after Maduro bid farewell to the CCP special envoy team, he welcomed U.S. special forces. This significant international embarrassment delivered a hard slap to the CCP's face, regardless of political affiliations. Already battered, this time it was a complete face of embarrassment. Although the CCP has thick skin, can it truly endure such relentless pressure? △
