Recent reports and images have disclosed that he was confined for an extended period in a small black room without windows, with someone constantly monitoring him.
The concept of a small black room is all too familiar to petitioners, wronged individuals, and Falun Gong practitioners who have faced persecution for 25 years; it is a common tactic employed by the Chinese Communist Party. After detaining individuals, they are locked away in small black rooms and subjected to various forms of cruel torture, including starvation, sleep deprivation, and other inhumane treatment. Isolated from the outside world, the perpetrators show no mercy during these torturous acts, leading to many petitioners being severely injured, mentally incapacitated, or even going missing while held in these small black rooms.

A recording that circulated online reportedly captured the last few days of Yu Menglong's life, during which he was tortured while held in separate locations. Despite the abuse, he remained defiant, loudly proclaiming his innocence. His voice was hoarse as he cried out for help: 'I have followed the rules since childhood, and I have been threatened by you since I was 25!' Each word resonated painfully with listeners, as if their hearts and lungs were being torn apart.
Informed netizens disclosed that Yu Menglong's management company, Tianyu Media, is supported by powerful forces with an unshakeable background. Within this seemingly glamorous entertainment empire, actors may simply be interchangeable pawns. Yu Menglong has long resisted the unspoken rules, which resulted in him being sidelined for three years. To prevent his escape, his captors employed various methods of control, such as forcing him to wear oversized shoes, fitting him with electronic ankle shackles, depriving him of food for extended periods, providing him with a phone that lacked a chip to cut off outside communication, and threatening him with his mother to deter any attempts to flee, among other tactics. During live broadcasts, he tried to send distress signals to the outside world through gestures, language, and expressions, but unfortunately, no one would suspect that a seemingly glamorous star was in constant danger. Even on set, he was often randomly beaten by his manager in public, sometimes to the extent that he could not get out of bed.
