[People News] The questions "Do humans really have souls?" and "Is it true that nothing exists after death?" were addressed by Liu Liang, a distinguished forensic expert and professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Medical College. His answer was clear: Humans indeed have souls! After death, individuals simply exist in a different realm.

On April 5, during the Qingming Festival, a video interview with Professor Liu Liang went viral on Chinese social media. With a wealth of experience, Professor Liu has participated in over 7,000 autopsies. In the interview, he candidly asserted, "Humans have souls," and emphatically added, "Yes! They must exist!"

At the age of 65, Liu Liang appeared on the Chinese media program "Liangzi Interview Record," where he shared that he has dedicated 43 years to the Department of Forensic Medicine at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Medical College, performing autopsies on more than 4,000 bodies and contributing to over 7,000 autopsies in total.

When asked by the host if he identifies as a materialist, he chuckled and responded, "This question is somewhat sensitive, but I will answer honestly. Initially, I was quite a materialist, but after conducting more research and witnessing death, I feel that during the autopsy, the soul of the deceased is present on the autopsy table, observing me as I work."

The host asked directly, "Do people have souls?" He replied, "Yes." When the host pressed further, asking, "Really?" he confidently affirmed, "Yes! There must be!" The host then inquired, "Do people truly have them?" He responded, "They really do."

The host continued, "How do you know?"

Liu Liang explained, "It's similar to asking if there are people on other planets. Our current scientific advancements and technological capabilities cannot observe anything beyond the visible spectrum, leading us to believe that such things do not exist. Therefore, we cannot claim that things we have not seen do not exist."

He added, "If you give yourself a psychological suggestion, believing that by doing this you are accumulating virtue, you will undergo numerous physiological and psychological changes. Many phenomena actually exert a reverse influence on your physical world. Why do I write on the platform, 'Let the living and the dead understand how to live in their respective spatial orbits'? The more we delve into the conclusion of a person's life, the more I realise that this issue is far from simple. If we were to discover life on Mars in the future, it would completely change your perspective. We might just be a speck of dust in the universe, surrounded by vast unknowns. Perhaps we have transitioned to a different existence, drifting into a realm beyond Earth. But whether we can reach that is still uncertain."

The host remarked, "As ordinary individuals, we should approach this matter with a sense of reverence."

Liu Liang concluded, "I believe it should be this way. You might think that heaven and earth are oblivious, but the soul is aware of your actions."

During the interview, the host asked him if he had ever experienced any supernatural phenomena. He hesitated and asked, "Can I talk about this?" The host encouraged him, saying, "Just tell us if you have or not." He replied, "Yes, definitely, but I can't share the details; I can discuss it privately."

Nevertheless, Liu Liang mentioned some extraordinary experiences, such as receiving messages from the deceased in dreams, which guided him in solving cases.

Many netizens shared their own experiences in the comments section below the interview video:

"Is there really a need to debate whether humans have souls? When I was in the first year of junior high, I was haunted by a ghost for two or three months; it was a personal experience."

"I've also encountered dream messages and supernatural events. There are countless things in this world that defy explanation; just because science can't explain something doesn't mean it's unscientific—this notion is quite unscientific."

"There is indeed a soul. Before my father passed away, his soul lingered at the entrance of the ICU. I saw it in a dream; it was magical, so I carefully recorded everything I witnessed in that dream. Whether now or in the future, if someone reads this comment, I will firmly assert that before a person leaves this world, they find ways to make you aware of the soul's existence, and your final interaction serves as a last farewell."

Experiencing a dream that feels like a message can make you understand the sensation and affirm the existence of a soul. Science represents just one dimension of understanding, and therefore, it cannot explain phenomena that belong to another dimension.

Tao Shaoming (Tao Shaoming), the former coach of the national women's long-distance marathon team and the coach of the locomotive sports association marathon team, also chimed in, stating, "Humans have souls."

Netizen 'Mofei Bian@MofeiBian' shared a 7-minute clip on the social platform X, saying, 'By combining Liu Liang's professional background with my own personal experiences, I believe that there are indeed some things that cannot be clearly explained, but they certainly exist.' Program video △
