[People News] Recently, many Chinese bloggers have been exposing a chilling reality: elderly people around them are passing away one after another, at a pace so fast it is frightening. Moreover, it is not only very elderly people—people born in the 1980s and 1990s, in the prime of their lives, are also dying at an alarming rate. At present, major hospitals across China remain continuously overcrowded, and cases of death caused by the common cold are also increasing. Many members of the public are questioning whether the authorities are concealing the epidemic.

Recently, many Chinese netizens have posted photos on “Xiaohongshu” showing COVID-19 test kits with positive results, and have questioned whether the authorities are covering up the epidemic. Meanwhile, major hospitals in various regions remain packed, with long lines of people, and extra beds filling the corridors.

Some residents in Henan revealed that the symptoms people are currently experiencing locally are exactly the same as those of COVID-19 (the CCP virus). Those who cannot withstand it die very quickly.

A resident of Xincai County, Henan, Xiao Zhang said: “The night before last, my son had a fever—hot one moment, cold the next. I’ve had a cold these past few days and didn’t take any medicine, just toughed it out. Colds are killing people left and right, killing people left and right.”

Another resident of Xincai County, Henan, Xiao Cai said: “My throat hurt so much I couldn’t even speak. I was like this two years ago. A lot of people have fevers and get IV drips. The really severe ones just died.”

A body makeup artist using the alias Wang Ting revealed that there have been many sudden deaths recently, and the funeral industry is extremely busy. She said: “Every day there’s more work than we can handle. On the road to the underworld, there is no distinction between old and young. One moment someone is fine, and the next moment they’re sent straight to the funeral home. When notifying the family, it’s directly at the funeral home—the family just can’t take it, crying in utter heartbreak.”

Mr. Ge, a crematorium worker in Jilin, also said that many people have died recently, and that the funeral industry has now become a hot industry rather than a niche one. At the end of 2021, after epidemic controls were relaxed, funeral homes were overwhelmed, and many newcomers entered the industry.

Mr. Ge, crematorium worker in Jilin: “A lot of people have died again these past few days. We have to work overtime at night, with basically no rest.”

A netizen in Guangdong said that most of the people who have passed away recently in his village were born in the 1980s and 1990s, and that in 2025 alone, more than 70 people have died.

A netizen in Fujian said that within a short period of time, 12 elders around him had passed away.

A netizen in Guangxi said that in one small town, eight people died in a single week, most of them elderly.

Some netizens said that in a village with a population of about 3,300 people, by October 2025, 213 people had already been sent off in death.

Mr. He from Changde, Hunan: “A lot of people have died this month, with no obvious symptoms. One man even did winter swimming; another was my classmate who practiced tai chi. In the past two days, two people in their 50s have died. They were in pretty good health. His sister-in-law also died—doctors reported it as cancer. Another one was a heart attack.”

Mr. He from Changde, Hunan, said that since last December, several relatives and friends around him who were athletic enthusiasts have suddenly died. They had all been “little pinks” brainwashed by the CCP, but he himself had long despised the Communist Party, had already declared withdrawal from the CCP, and had always been safe. △
