U.S.-China Confrontation. (Video screenshot)
[People News] Following the conclusion of the Xi-Trump meeting, President Trump returned to Washington after his visit to Beijing, leading to a flurry of news reports. One particularly notable incident was that before Trump boarded Air Force One, American staff discarded all items and gifts distributed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials into the trash. Accompanying reporters noted, 'No items from China (the CCP) are allowed on the plane.' This may reflect the American staff's belief that these 'gifts' were unsafe or contained surveillance backdoors.
It is understandable why Americans would feel this way. In recent years, gifts from the CCP to foreign dignitaries have often been proven to be unsafe. For instance, communication tools given to Venezuelan President Maduro and traffic surveillance systems and air defence systems provided to Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei ultimately became instruments for providing intelligence to the U.S. military or betraying them. American officials are acutely aware: capturing Maduro and eliminating Khamenei... the CCP's gifts have played a significant role in these efforts.
The act of American officials discarding the CCP's gifts in a Beijing trash can is a direct affront to the CCP. Now, Maduro, who is imprisoned in the U.S., and the living relatives of Khamenei must surely resent having once regarded the CCP's gifts as treasures. If they were to witness American officials throwing away these gifts, one can only imagine their reactions.
While the gifts themselves may seem trivial, what is most difficult for Maduro and Khamenei's associates to accept is the CCP's ostentatious welcome for Trump in Beijing, complete with a North Korean-style welcoming ceremony featuring young men and women, red carpets, flowers, songs, dances, fine wine, and applause…
It is important to note that Maduro and Khamenei are long-time friends and partners frequently mentioned by Xi Jinping. In contrast, Trump is the one who either captured or eliminated them before meeting with Xi. Rather than seizing the opportunity to advocate for them—asking Trump to release Maduro or to refrain from military action against Iran, even in exchange for concessions like releasing Li Zhiying and Gao Zhisheng — Xi Jinping instead welcomed his arch-enemy with open arms, promoting American greatness, maintaining the status quo in the Taiwan Strait, and selling American agricultural products...
This behaviour reflects ingratitude and a willingness to betray friends for personal gain... It essentially conveys the message, 'Trump, you did well in capturing and attacking them!' The once-strong friendship has seemingly vanished.
There are many individuals in the world similar to Maduro and Khamenei. They may be unaware or may choose to ignore the historical pattern of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) acting out of self-interest, repaying kindness with hostility, and taking advantage of others in their misfortune. For instance, after seizing the Republic of China government on the mainland with the assistance of the Soviet Union and Japan, and under the appeasement of the United States, the CCP launched continuous anti-Soviet, anti-American, and anti-Japanese campaigns; after consolidating power, they showed no mercy in criticizing party officials and engaging in political infighting; they have even slaughtered the very people who funded them through taxes without hesitation...
Now, those close to Maduro and Khamenei, witnessing American officials discard gifts from the CCP and observing Xi Jinping's ostentatious reception of Trump, are presented with an opportunity for reflection, to clearly discern between good and evil, right and wrong. They should feel a deep sense of hatred towards the dangerous goods they once embraced from the CCP and regret the disgrace of having recognised thieves as friends. This can be seen as an unexpected benefit of Trump's visit to Beijing.
