On November 2, 2024, Los Angeles "Three Withdrawals" volunteers and some Falun Gong practitioners held a parade with the "End CCP" motorcade, a petition campaign, and a "Great Wall of Truth" display to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (Dajiyuan/Han Bing).
[People News] The number of people declaring their withdrawal from the CCP’s Party, Youth League, and Young Pioneers organizations (known as the "Three Withdrawals") has now exceeded 430 million, and the "End CCP" global petition has reached over 4.5 million signatures... Currently, a massive public movement is underway worldwide, and it all began with the groundbreaking book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published 20 years ago.
According to Epoch Times journalist Han Bing in Los Angeles, in 2004, the Epoch Times website published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, a series of editorials described as a book that is "dismantling the CCP." It has been translated into 33 languages, including English, French, and Russian, and is widely circulated around the world. This book has also become one of the major banned books in China.
On Saturday, November 2, Los Angeles "Three Withdrawals" volunteers and some Falun Gong practitioners celebrated the 20th anniversary of Nine Commentaries with an "End CCP" motorcade parade, a petition campaign, and a "Great Wall of Truth" display, encouraging more Chinese people to learn the truth and distance themselves from the CCP.
Several new immigrants from mainland China withdrew from the CCP on the spot using their real names. They expressed, "The CCP is the worst, most evil party in history. Why should we follow such an evil party? Declaring our withdrawal is for our own peace. All Chinese people should quit the CCP."
Why Nine Commentaries Became a Banned Book in China
Since 2004, countless volunteers around the world have quietly distributed Nine Commentaries and persuaded people to withdraw from the CCP. Helen Li, head of the Los Angeles Center for Quitting the CCP, explained that since then, the number of people quitting the CCP has grown rapidly, like a snowball: from a few people per day initially to tens of thousands daily. "Nine Commentaries awakened the long-buried conscience of the Chinese people and helped them distance themselves from evil."
Many experts have described Nine Commentaries as nine sharp swords that expose the CCP's true nature. Today, many Chinese, either by circumventing the internet firewall or by moving abroad, actively seek out volunteers to declare their "Three Withdrawals."
Hu Bien, a new immigrant who came abroad four years ago, said that after reading Nine Commentaries, she clearly saw through the CCP and became a "Three Withdrawals" volunteer.
"I am very fortunate to have drawn a clear line between myself and this evil party in time," she said. "Nine Commentaries is like a demon-revealing mirror, logically and systematically explaining the CCP's conspiracies, helping Chinese people see the CCP's true nature."
As someone born in the 1980s, Hu Bien said that although she did not experience her parents’ ordeals like the "Three-Anti," "Five-Anti" campaigns, the Cultural Revolution, or the Tiananmen Square Massacre, each generation in China has suffered hardships under the CCP's rule.
"I experienced the one-child policy, extreme atheistic education in the name of modernization, citywide surveillance, heavy taxation, lack of freedom of speech, internet and media censorship, and lived in a society plagued by scandals like toxic milk powder, gutter oil, high housing prices, and unaffordable healthcare," she explained. "Reading Nine Commentaries made me realize that the CCP not only seeks to control you physically but also aims to break you mentally."
Hu Bien, who was indoctrinated with CCP "Party Culture" since childhood, told reporters that only after reading Nine Commentaries did she realize the extent of the CCP's evil influence on every aspect of life.
"The CCP has nearly destroyed China’s 5,000 years of traditional culture and moral etiquette, causing catastrophic consequences for China and removing moral constraints on people's hearts. As part of the generation harmed by 'Party Culture,' I now search everywhere for an alternative path as a mother. I don’t want my child to be fed rogue theories from the moment they start talking."
"The publication of Nine Commentaries undoubtedly dealt a heavy blow to the CCP, bringing hope and awakening to the Chinese people," she said. "Since the CCP fears the truth and has banned Nine Commentaries, Chinese people should read it even more to find the truth. I sincerely hope that more people in China will read Nine Commentaries, refuse to align with evil, and see that by quitting the CCP, they have a chance for a fresh start."
The Urgency of "Three Withdrawals"
In the afternoon of the event, "Three Withdrawals" volunteers held up banners on Monterey Park’s busiest streets with messages like "Withdrawing from CCP Organizations Brings Blessings," "The CCP Is Not China; Patriotism Is Not Love for the Party," and "Truth Is Your Hope for Salvation," drawing attention from passing cars and pedestrians.
To date, more than 438 million Chinese have publicly declared their withdrawal from all CCP organizations on the quit-CCP website. Helen Li believes that the "Three Withdrawals" are now an urgent matter: "The CCP forces Chinese people to join the Young Pioneers, Communist Youth League, and Communist Party from a young age, making them pledge to dedicate their lives to it. How terrifying is that! Once they take this pledge, it’s as if they are marked with an evil symbol."
She revisited a statement published by the Epoch Times regarding the seriousness of quitting the CCP, Youth League, and Young Pioneers, which reads: "If one day a divine force holds the Communist Party accountable, it will certainly not spare those so-called steadfast evil party members. We solemnly state that all those who have joined the CCP and its related organizations (those marked with the beast’s sign of evil) should quit quickly to erase the evil mark. When this demonic cult is held accountable, the Epoch Times' records will serve as testimony for those who have quit the Communist Party and other CCP organizations."
On the 20th anniversary of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Helen Li said, "I sincerely hope that Chinese compatriots who have not yet declared their 'Three Withdrawals' will quit quickly. I also hope that everyone will hold onto kindness and goodness, act righteously, and seek divine protection for a bright future amid a corrupt and chaotic world."
