Chinese Parents of Students Must Not Be Deceived

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, some Falun Gong practitioners in the Greater Toronto Area held a grand parade in the bustling downtown district to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Falun Dafa&9;s introduction to the world and to express their gratitude to Falun Gong founder Master Li Hongzhi. [People News] According to reports from mainland media, as the 11th "National Security Education Day" organised by the Chinese Communist Party approaches, regions such as Shaanxi have initiated a series of so-called "Four Advances and One Broadcast" activities. These include anti-X cult warning education in government agencies, schools, villages, and military research institutions, along with the creation and broadcasting of anti-X cult short videos.

These activities are organised collaboratively by local political commissars, law enforcement agencies, the procuratorate, courts, and higher education institutions. The activities feature so-called expert lectures, distribution of books, and signing events.

From the reports, it is evident that these so-called anti-X cult warning educations are essentially a repetition of the lies propagated by the CCP media to the people of China and the world since the onset of the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. These lies continue to poison a new generation of government officials, youth, rural farmers, and researchers.

The year 2026 will mark the 27th anniversary of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Over these 27 years, the CCP has utilised the hard-earned money of millions and billions of Chinese taxpayers to persecute Falun Gong at any cost, employing any means, and disregarding the consequences. What has been the outcome?

Falun Gong has not only survived but has also expanded its reach to 156 countries and regions worldwide. The classic text of Falun Gong, "Zhuan Falun," has been translated into 49 languages and published outside of mainland China. It is genuinely embraced and appreciated by individuals from all walks of life, transcending borders, races, languages, political affiliations, educational backgrounds, qualifications, wealth, cultural contexts, and religious beliefs.

In 2006, a group of artists practising Falun Gong founded Shen Yun Performing Arts in New York, USA, with the mission of reviving China's 5,000-year-old divine culture. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Shen Yun, which has expanded from a single troupe to eight equally sized performing arts groups, making it the fastest-growing arts organisation in both the United States and the world.

The Shen Yun artists, who practice Falun Gong, are currently touring nearly 200 cities across five continents in prestigious theatres. With their pure hearts, graceful dance movements, and pristine music, they convey the message of 'Truth, Compassion, Forbearance' to audiences worldwide, establishing themselves as the most radiant stars on the global stage today.

Audiences from mainstream society overseas, including many prominent musicians, dancers, artists, bankers, billionaires, and members of royal families, have come to theatres to see Shen Yun performances, offering high praise for the artists. A single Shen Yun performance effectively dismantles all the falsehoods spread by the Chinese Communist Party regarding Falun Gong.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, was introduced by Mr Li Hongzhi on May 13, 1992, in Changchun, Northeast China. Its remarkable benefits for health and wellness led to its rapid spread across 32 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in mainland China, as well as to Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and many countries and regions around the world.

Those who sincerely practice Falun Gong have come to understand through their personal experiences that Falun Dafa offers countless benefits to both the nation and its people, with no drawbacks; it is a righteous path that is rarely encountered in a thousand or ten thousand years, a great way of virtue, and a magnificent Buddhist teaching.

What is the 'righteousness' of Falun Gong?

‘Zheng’ emphasises that practitioners should strictly adhere to the principles of ‘Truth, Compassion, Forbearance’ to be good individuals and strive to become better people, ultimately cultivating into selfless individuals who prioritize others over themselves. Embracing ‘Truth, Compassion, Forbearance’ to be good is always right, regardless of the past, present, or future, and applies equally in China and abroad.

‘Zheng’ does not impose any commands; if you wish to learn, you are welcome to do so, and if you do not wish to learn, you are free to leave. The practice of Falun Gong is entirely based on the voluntary willingness of the practitioners.

‘Zheng’ offers teachings free of charge, without any fees. Across all countries and regions worldwide, every Falun Gong practice site operates on a voluntary basis, with no exceptions, and does not charge practitioners a single cent.

‘Zheng’ generously shares all information related to teaching Falun Gong, including all writings, lecture videos, and instructional videos, all available on Minghui.org (https://www.minghui.org/). This information is dedicated to all of humanity, allowing internet users globally to read, watch, and download for free.

‘Zheng’ welcomes all individuals who are destined to practice, regardless of their background. Anyone in the world who wishes to practice can learn, whether they hold power or not, whether they are wealthy or poor, educated or uneducated, high-ranking or low-ranking, young or old; Falun Gong treats everyone equally.

‘Zheng’ emphasises that every practitioner must ‘look inward’. When a Falun Gong practitioner faces a conflict with others, they should not blame the other person but should first examine their own issues and shortcomings. Even if they believe they are right and the other person is wrong, they should still consider whether they have other problems. Additionally, if they witness a conflict between two other individuals, they should reflect on whether they have similar issues. This approach can help resolve many conflicts, including those that have been long-standing, significant, and intense.

‘Zheng’ also insists that every practitioner uphold truth, principles, and justice; they should not be indecisive or easily swayed by public opinion. Practitioners should avoid following the crowd, engaging in corrupt practices, or straying onto deviant paths. While adhering to these principles, they should also strive to embody ‘kindness’ and ‘forbearance’.

‘Zheng’ promotes the idea of not creating enemies. Falun Gong practitioners worldwide do not have enemies. This is because, although they live in the secular world, they aspire to transcend it, focusing on returning to their true selves and achieving the highest state of life. Therefore, how could they view the world as an adversary?

Some may question: Is Falun Gong opposed to the CCP? The answer is: Falun Gong does not oppose the CCP. If the CCP were not to persecute Falun Gong, there would be no issue of counter-persecution.

Counter-persecution is not about being an enemy of the CCP; rather, it involves peacefully and rationally clarifying the truth that ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’, and explaining that the CCP’s persecution of good people is wrong. In the process of clarifying the truth, Falun Gong encourages practitioners to hold no hatred, avoid confrontation, and refrain from using violence.

‘Zheng’ refers to the idea of not being attached to personal fame, profit, emotions, or desires. For centuries, many individuals have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of, and fear of losing, these four concepts: fame, profit, emotions, and desires. Throughout history, countless experiences of love, hate, feelings, grudges, joy, sorrow, separation, and reunion have all originated from an obsessive pursuit of these four words. However, Falun Gong encourages its practitioners to adopt a more indifferent perspective towards these matters.

This does not imply that Falun Gong practitioners lack fame or wealth. They can achieve global recognition and become billionaires, yet they do not prioritise these aspects. Instead of clinging to narrow ‘emotions,’ Falun Gong practitioners embrace a higher virtue of ‘compassion.’ If you treat me well, I will reciprocate; if you do not treat me well, I will still respond with kindness. Practitioners can have their own families and lead normal family lives, but they must refrain from sexual misconduct and cut off any inappropriate relationships with the opposite sex outside of marriage.

‘Zheng’ serves to connect contemporary individuals with ancient traditions, fostering communication. Where do people come from? Where are they headed? These are two fundamental questions that humanity has been striving to answer for millennia. People are born from their parents, then from their grandparents, and further back to their ancestors. But what lies beyond that? Both Eastern and Western traditions speak of a divine creation of humanity.

In recent times, the widespread rise of atheism has severed the connection between humans and the divine, leaving individuals feeling rootless. This disconnection is one of the significant sources of the various chaotic phenomena observed in contemporary China and the modern world.

Falun Gong has spread globally, awakening the divine essence within people's souls, reviving the tradition of faith and reverence for the divine, and rekindling righteous belief, thoughts, and actions. After enduring numerous trials and tribulations, humanity has finally reestablished its connection and communication with the divine.

In the 1990s, during the qigong craze in China, statistics showed that there were over 2,300 different forms of qigong at its peak. As of 2026, there is only one form of qigong that has spread to 156 countries and regions worldwide, and that is Falun Gong.

What accounts for Falun Gong's ability to stand out among over 2,300 forms of qigong and maintain its enduring popularity?

Falun Gong is not just an ordinary form of qigong; it is a Buddhist practice. Historically, the persecution of Buddhist teachings has been a grave sin.

The Chinese Communist Party's current anti-X religion educational campaigns, which are being implemented in government agencies, schools, villages, and military research institutions, are disseminating slanderous poison against Buddhist teachings to government officials, students and teachers, rural farmers, and employees of research institutions, instilling hatred towards these teachings in their minds.

For the past 27 years, from former Politburo Standing Committee member and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission Zhou Yongkang to officials at various levels of political and legal committees, the 610 Office, public security, procuratorial, judicial, and administrative officials, as well as leaders in some agencies, schools, villages, and research institutions, those who have been filled with such toxic ideas and actively participated in the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong have faced retribution, with one group after another suffering dire consequences. There are simply too many such instances.

I urge parents of students in mainland China not to be easily swayed by the Chinese Communist Party's 'one voice' propaganda. It is important to take the time to understand the truth about Falun Gong. Use your own judgment to think independently about right and wrong, good and evil, and righteousness versus wickedness. Follow your conscience, choose the good, and do not be deceived by the Chinese Communist Party again.
