[People News] The book "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," published by the CCP, is often given as a foreign propaganda gift to various countries. However, in China, university students typically treat this book as waste, discarding it in recycling bins. Recently, a university in Nepal conducted a mass burning of hundreds of copies of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," which led the Chinese embassy in Nepal to file a protest. In response, netizens remarked, "That thing is just garbage; it's burning trash," and some even posted, "If the evil 'Xi' is not removed, it will cause great harm; eradicate the evil 'Xi' to ensure lasting peace and health."
On the evening of March 14 (last Saturday), Manmohan Technical College in Morang District, Nepal, burned old books and waste materials, including hundreds of copies of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" (the English title is Xi Jinping: The Governance of China), to create space while cleaning the library and storage room. Videos of the book burning quickly circulated on the internet in Nepal, showing many people gathered around a bonfire, burning a large number of books and documents, with several copies of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" clearly visible. Some individuals even placed the book deliberately in front of the camera, with Xi's large portrait prominently displayed, while many young people could be heard excitedly mentioning "China," indicating that they were burning Xi's works, which carried a strong tone of mockery.
The incident has led to dissatisfaction from the Chinese embassy.

According to a report by the Kathmandu Post on March 17, following the viral spread of a video showing the burning of works by the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, Yuwal Raj Kattel, the Chief Executive of Morang County, contacted relevant media outlets to request the video's removal, arguing that it could damage Nepal-China relations. The official confirmed that the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu had sent a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, asking the Nepalese government to investigate and take action against those involved. Sources revealed that the Morang regional government and the Koshi Province police are currently investigating the matter.
The report quoted the editor of Live News Raftar, which first covered the incident, stating that a significant number of Xi's books were seen being burned, while many other books remained stored at the university. Insiders indicated that the college planned to destroy certain sensitive documents or those related to corruption. Dr Rekha Shrestha, the college president, explained that these books had been left unused for many years and were burned due to insect damage.
Nevertheless, most of the books that were burned or partially burned were nearly new. The college clarified that the book burning was intended to create more space in the laboratory.
In China, Xi's books are being sold at a discount, yet there is little interest in them. (Internet image)
Many overseas netizens commented: "That thing is just garbage, merely burning trash," "What’s truly noteworthy is the subsequent series of reactions: the embassy intervened, demanded an investigation, and called for the video to be deleted. If a book can elicit such a strong response, then the issue likely extends far beyond the book itself. "No one is watching it anyway, so what if it gets burned?" "The CCP's Marxism-Leninism represents a flawed system; authoritarian dictatorship, totalitarian communism; ethical collapse, moral decay; value distortion, harming the nation and its people. "Our teacher is a party member, using this book as a stand for the computer," "What’s interesting about elementary school students’ theories of governance? Essentially, it’s just treating the people like leeks and the youth as organ transplant banks," He didn’t write it himself; how could he have the ability to write a book? Seriously, stop joking around. Publishing is merely a means to exploit the leeks." △
