[People News] “It gave me tremendous spiritual nourishment!” On the afternoon of February 8, 2026, the U.S.-based Shen Yun New Era Company once again played to a full house in its third performance at Taichung Chungshan Hall in Taiwan. This performance was also the New Era Company’s final show in Taiwan for 2026. Some audience members said they “hope more people will be able to see this performance.” Others said Shen Yun is worth “treasuring in one’s heart,” and is a form of “respect and reverence for Chinese culture.” They described Shen Yun artists as “living art,” saying they are “works of art created with great care and well worth appreciating.”
According to a report from The Dajiyuan’ Taichung bureau in Taiwan, from December 30 of last year through February 8 of this year, Shen Yun’s New Era Company gave 33 performances in seven cities across Taiwan, all sold out, with many shows extremely hard to get tickets for. When the tour’s final stop reached Taichung, a cold front struck and temperatures dropped sharply, yet many people who couldn’t get tickets were still seen waiting in the cold wind, hoping to buy one. In response to the enthusiastic demand, the organizer had to open additional reserved sections to meet audience needs. Overall, audiences across Taiwan responded with great enthusiasm. After concluding the Taiwan tour, Shen Yun will head to South Korea for the next stop of its Asia tour.
Looking back at the 2026 Taiwan performances, audience feedback showed a clear highlight: many people strongly felt that the show seemed to become a bridge connecting divine (Buddha/god) energy with humanity. In a peaceful and pure energy field, viewers described feeling as if they were bathed in Buddha’s light, experiencing the power of benevolent thoughts conveyed by the performance—bringing a deep, calming, and uplifting impact.

After Shen Yun’s final Taiwan performance on February 8, the presenting organization—the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association—through its president Xiao Songshan, presented certificates of appreciation to long-time partner organizations and friends from all walks of life, thanking them for their continued support and assistance. This, he said, helped more people enter theaters and, through the arts, come to understand Shen Yun’s mission: to revive 5,000 years of authentic traditional Chinese culture on the stage.
Xiao Songshan said that 2026 marks Shen Yun’s 20th anniversary, and that each year Shen Yun brings brand-new programs to audiences around the world, offering hope and beauty. He also emphasized that Taiwan’s greatest beauty lies in its people; it is everyone’s compassion and kind thoughts that allow Shen Yun to successfully tour Taiwan year after year, enabling the core strength of Chinese culture to continue in Taiwan.

Chen Lifen, the 2020–2021 Council Chairperson of Lions Clubs International Taiwan (MD300), attended with Finance Director Hsu Min-yi. Chen said this was her fourth time seeing Shen Yun: “Every time I’m deeply moved. I come every year.”
Chen said the light presented at the end of the performance demonstrated “the boundless Buddha Law,” and also carried the meaning of “laying down the butcher’s knife and becoming a Buddha on the spot,” encouraging people to do good.
She said sincerely that she “deeply felt the depth of traditional culture (as shown by Shen Yun), and believes in the power of gods and the righteous Fa.” She emphasized: “You have to believe—then the power of the Fa will come.”
Chen expressed heartfelt respect for Shen Yun’s artistic director and the artistic team. She said, “What Shen Yun carries forward is divinely inspired culture. The troupe members are all extremely dedicated. We treat watching Shen Yun like doing charity work—and then it also benefits ourselves.”
Chen said that charity usually means donating to help others, while watching Shen Yun means “buying tickets for yourself to watch, and for your family to watch,” so that both body and mind are elevated—“it’s wonderful.”
She felt every program and every performer was admirable: “The dance movements, the expressive bearing (shen yun), the facial expressions—everything is right on point. It’s excellent. The director is truly amazing. The whole performance is highly infectious,” and she hoped the Shen Yun team would “keep it up.”
Chen said she hopes to live happily in the present every day. For her, seeing Shen Yun each year is like injecting herself with fresh energy: “Life’s purpose is service. Service starts with oneself. Only when you are physically and mentally healthy and have a sunny side can you influence more people and move toward positive energy.” She also hoped that negative phenomena in society would gradually improve, and wished Taiwan peace and prosperity.
Finance Director Hsu Min-yi of Lions Clubs International Taiwan (MD300) also said he comes to see Shen Yun every year. After watching this year, he felt “the power of righteous thoughts, righteous faith, and justice.”
Hsu said that “every Shen Yun performer is extremely devoted; their movements are forged through repeated tempering to achieve what we see today.” He stressed that this is the best illustration of the saying: “One minute on stage takes ten years of work off stage.”
The moment the curtain rose, Hsu said, “there was a shock of positive energy, and also a feeling like Buddha’s light shining everywhere.” He believed this is a sensory experience at the level of thought and spirit—something you can only feel if you truly pay attention with your heart.
Company CEO: He Will “Treasure Shen Yun in His Heart”
On the afternoon of February 8, 2026, Luo Shengyi, CEO of a biotech company, watched Shen Yun’s New Era Company’s third performance at Taichung Chungshan Hall. (Song Bilong / The Dajiyuan)
Luo Shengyi, CEO of a biotech company, first offered congratulations for Shen Yun’s 20th anniversary: “Happy 20th birthday.” He said it was “hard to put into words” how he felt afterward, because “with every Shen Yun performance, we can only grasp it inwardly.” In his heart, Shen Yun “is not just an artistic performance, but more of a spiritual inheritance.” Shen Yun presents audiences with “art of such a high level and cultural depth,” earning his deep admiration.
Luo said that each time he finishes watching Shen Yun he “feels deeply moved,” whether by the music, the overall visuals, or the performers’ expressions. “Without ‘ten years of work off stage,’ you can’t deliver those ten minutes on stage.” Therefore, he said, as long as he has the chance and the time, “I’ll still come every year.”
He specifically mentioned the recently discussed topic of artificial intelligence. He said many industries, jobs, and even professional skills could be replaced by AI—“even the experience of a surgeon who has performed thousands or tens of thousands of brain operations could be integrated and replicated by AI in an instant.” But he emphasized that a performance like Shen Yun “cannot be replaced by AI.” “AI can only replace certain visual coordination; it cannot replace the performers’ heartfelt dedication.”
In his view, Shen Yun is worth “treasuring in one’s heart,” and is also a form of “respect and reverence for Chinese culture.”
As for what he wanted to say to Shen Yun’s artists and artistic director, Luo said with deep feeling that “every Shen Yun performer is an artist.” Many artworks or antiques are regarded as priceless treasures, and Shen Yun’s artists, he said, “are living art”—“works of art made with great care and truly worth appreciating.”
Finally, speaking as a father, Luo shared a heartfelt thought: seeing every performer’s dedication moved him greatly. “If my child could be like that, then as a father, I wouldn’t have lived this life in vain.”
Director at Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital: “Shen Yun Gave Me Great Spiritual Nourishment”
On the afternoon of February 8, 2026, Liao Chengxi, director in the Department of Community Medicine at Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital, watched Shen Yun’s New Era Company’s third performance at Taichung Chungshan Hall. (Dong Huiling / The Dajiyuan)
“It’s incredible—the fusion of East and West: the combination of classical and modern (technology) is amazing, taken to a fully realized level!” said Liao Chengxi, a director at Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital, after watching. “Everyone felt it was extremely powerful.” “Whether male dancers or female dancers, the blend of strength and beauty and flexibility is truly brought out to the fullest—really astonishing!”
He said, “What’s remarkable is the East–West fusion—using Western (technological) techniques while also blending the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. Whether it’s dance or martial arts; and in the orchestra, the familiar Chinese instruments—silk-and-bamboo instruments, erhu, gongs, and cymbals—are combined with Western violins and wind instruments.”
“Especially Shen Yun’s patented 3D animated backdrop—it’s amazing. Through dynamic imagery, the dancers can vividly merge dance with the moving backdrop. Although no words are spoken, through everyone’s feelings and children’s whispered laughter, everyone gets immersed in the plot, so the storytelling can be understood,” he said.
“Radiant and dazzling!” “Something deep inside me was inspired!” Liao praised. “Shen Yun’s performance presents the perfect realm of truth, compassion, and beauty through dance, fluid movement, music, color, the dynamic backdrop, and stage design—all filled with positive energy.” He said, “Bright and colorful, with abundant use of light—it’s wonderful, because light can sweep away darkness and evil.” “The whole performance is on the bright side, aimed at promoting goodness.”
Liao continued, “I’m a Christian, and I’ve always been touched by the spiritual world. Whenever I close my eyes, I can feel God and the Holy Spirit. When I’m moved, I feel guided by God—that kind of feeling is there.”
Speaking of his spiritual encouragement, Liao said, “This time, watching the performance, I fully felt this meaning—allowing our soul and body, and truth–compassion–beauty, as well as our physical body and the spiritual realm, to come together in a very perfect way. It was also a great surprise spiritually—giving me tremendous nourishment!”
“When the final imagery appeared, it felt like God was talking to us! It’s at the level of the heart and spirit—our thoughts and intentions have to resonate with Him,” Liao said. “If you are sincere, then sincerity brings spiritual efficacy. If you have faith, then God is actually saving everyone. As long as you keep kind thoughts, and often draw close to God and pray more, I believe He is the God of each of us, and He will come to save us.”
As a doctor, Liao was deeply affected by accounts that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to forced organ harvesting by the Chinese Communist Party. “To take a good person and lock them up like that, or do something to them—I think that’s wrong. Society must be kind and have a positive side, so I encourage everyone to sincerely connect with God and to remain good people.”
“I’m also in the armed forces myself. It’s not about ‘being anti-Communist’; at the very least, the demand for truth must be absolute. Through such real cases—these are living, real examples—natural disasters are frightening, but man-made disasters are even more frightening: live organ removal!” he emphasized.
“This is my third time seeing the performance. The first time was ten years ago—there were only four touring companies then; now it has grown to double, to eight,” Liao said. He praised Shen Yun for, over 20 years, tirelessly spreading seeds of goodness and awakened conscience around the world. “Shen Yun really is a miracle. God is watching over and protecting it. If you do good deeds, God will let you shine brightly!”

“Shen Yun is truly wonderful—paired with traditional Chinese arts and Chinese instruments, it expresses the righteous side!” said Huang Jinshan after watching. “It also includes Falun Gong being persecuted in mainland China and revealing the truth to the world—this is traditional art with positive energy.”
“Today, so many people from all walks of life came to watch, showing that Shen Yun influences many layers of society—social justice, the arts, and spiritual inspiration, encouraging people to be kind.” As head of the Shengyang Charity Foundation, Huang invited many friends that day. “We’re engaged in charity work, so we really like bringing good friends here to watch.”
“Shen Yun’s singing and dance have spread across the globe, and the choreography, sets, and coordination are all highly skilled—well worth seeing. I come every year, and I bring many friends and fellow Lions members from different circles to come watch,” he said.
“Hearing that Shen Yun is celebrating its 20th anniversary, with eight touring companies performing worldwide, and that Taiwan has tours every year in the north, central, and south—truly every show sells out—it’s worth our people coming to appreciate it. It’s an excellent performing arts group!” Huang emphasized. “This performance is worth watching every year. It’s truly worth the ticket price. It really boosts a sense of social justice and can also make society more harmonious and fulfilling!”
Honorary Chairman of an Industrial Park Association: 20 Years Isn’t Easy — Shen Yun Will Surely Reach New Peaks
On the afternoon of February 8, 2026, Yang Yikun, honorary chairman of the Taichung Industrial Park Manufacturers Association, watched Shen Yun’s New Era Company’s third performance at Taichung Chungshan Hall. (New Tang Dynasty Television)
Yang Yikun said the deepest impressions Shen Yun gave him were “devotion” and “innovation.” He said every year’s presentation is “innovative and different,” with highly synchronized dance movements and overall excellence. He also shared that when he recommended Shen Yun to family members in the past, they might not immediately understand—“I used to ask my wife to go, and she thought it was nothing special”—but after actually watching, she would instead proactively ask, “When is Shen Yun coming?” showing that the performance really can inspire recognition and resonance.
Yang added that many people respond very positively after seeing it: “If it’s good, one person tells another; then another person hears.” Through word of mouth, audiences keep growing—“you see how, when you go to see Shen Yun now, the seats are completely full.”
Speaking about the cultural value displayed by Shen Yun, Yang said such a performance is “impossible to see” in mainland China; instead, it is in Taiwan that the essence of Chinese culture can be fully presented. He said that traditional Chinese characters, among other things, have now become cultural assets—“mainland China doesn’t have them anymore.” Being able to live in Taiwan and see a performance like Shen Yun, he said, “is a kind of happiness.”
With Shen Yun entering its 20th anniversary, Yang also offered blessings. He said making it through 20 years “is truly not easy,” and believes that in the next 20 years, Shen Yun will surely “reach new peaks,” “so that ordinary people like us can see with our own eyes such a wonderful performance.” Finally, he again expressed thanks to the artists and the team: “Thank you. Thank you.” △
