[People News] As 2025 draws to a close, it is essential that we do not forget the events of this year. The contrasts of light and darkness, nobility and baseness, justice and evil, submission and resistance... all deserve a rightful place in our memories for ourselves and future generations. This article provides a snapshot of three significant social news events in China in 2025.

Student Death in Pucheng, Shaanxi Sparks Public Protests; Anger Reignites in Jiangyou, Sichuan

The first major mass incident of 2025 took place on January 2, when a student fell to their death at the new campus of the vocational education centre in Pucheng County, Shaanxi, which had been designated as a 'National Key Secondary Vocational School.' The parents of the deceased demanded access to surveillance footage, but the school refused, citing that 'the cameras were broken.' Mobile phones and smartwatches belonging to students who were aware of the situation were confiscated, and their photos were deleted. Relatives of the deceased suspected that the student had been a victim of bullying and that the school was hiding the truth, leading them to post videos on platforms like Douyin to raise public awareness. On January 5, the deceased's uncle was taken away by the police, prompting a large crowd to gather at the school in support of the fallen student and their family. Many individuals attempted to livestream the event, but these broadcasts were quickly shut down by the platform. Footage from the scene revealed a heavy police presence, with many individuals experiencing violent treatment, including chokeholds, forceful detainment, and beatings. Late on the night of January 5, a joint investigation team from Pucheng County issued a report stating that the student had died from a fall, ruling out any criminal activity. On January 6, the public gathered once more, with estimates of nearly a thousand people present, leading to police suppression and resulting in multiple injuries and bloodshed.

A similar incident unfolded in Jiangyou, Sichuan. On July 22, in an empty building, several girls aged around fourteen or fifteen bullied a fourteen-year-old girl through insults, slaps, kicks, and forced stripping. The assailants even took pride in recording the entire bullying episode. The video reveals that when the victim mentioned her family would call the police and pleaded for them to stop, the bullies arrogantly responded, 'It's not like we haven't been to the police station before; do you think we're afraid of you? We’ll be out in less than 20 minutes.' On August 2, this video surfaced, triggering outrage among the citizens of Jiangyou. The bullied girl's parents went to the relevant authorities, kneeling and begging for justice from the leaders. On the 4th, many citizens of Jiangyou gathered spontaneously in front of the Jiangyou City Government to support the bullied girl and her family, stating, 'Her mother is deaf and mute, her father is disabled; they can't speak for themselves, so we are here to speak for them!' In response, the authorities deployed a significant police presence to violently suppress the citizens. Some videos from the scene were shared on platforms such as Douyin, Weibo, and Kuaishou, which quickly sparked public discourse, but soon after, related topics, videos, and articles faced strict censorship and deletion.

Commentary: In recent years, incidents like these have become alarmingly common, including the 2023 case of a middle school student falling from a building in Ningling, Henan, the 2022 case of Hu Xinyu in Qianshan, Jiangxi, the 2021 incident involving a student from the 49th Middle School in Chengdu, Sichuan, and the 2017 case at Taifu Middle School in Luzhou, Sichuan, among others. What should have been a safe haven—the school campus—has tragically turned into a site of bloodshed and darkness. The local authorities' focus on 'maintaining stability' raises questions about the pervasive darkness in society. Nevertheless, many individuals have bravely stepped forward, reflecting the resilience of the Chinese people and offering a glimmer of hope. 'The fire rages fiercely in the throat; a mother from Jiangyou cannot express it, but a hundred thousand mothers from Jiangyou join together to voice it, creating a vast sea of flames.' May the flames ignited by millions of Chinese mothers consume all malevolent forces and restore a clean China.

Actor Wang Xing was rescued from a scam operation in Myanmar, but the 'Star Homecoming Plan' faced suppression.

On January 3, Wang Xing was contacted by a member of a scam group, 'Yan Shiliu,' who lured him to Myanmar under the guise of 'going to Thailand for filming work.' After Wang Xing went missing, his girlfriend took to social media to seek help and actively reached out to relevant authorities. This incident garnered significant attention within the Chinese film industry, prompting several actors to post about it, which led to the involvement of the Chinese embassy in Thailand and Thai police in the investigation and rescue efforts. On January 7, Thai police announced that Wang Xing had been located; by January 11, he had returned to China.

Following the widely publicised case of Wang Xing, numerous families of telecom fraud victims have turned to the internet for assistance. A Weibo user launched a document aimed at gathering information on victims stranded in Myanmar, known as the 'Star Homecoming Plan.' This document was released online on January 9, and by the evening of January 11, it had compiled data on over 1,500 victims. Unfortunately, the document has since become inaccessible.

Commentary: Wang Xing is indeed fortunate. However, the number of telecom fraud victims in China is alarmingly high; this issue transcends individual cases and represents a severe social crisis. What role has the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) played in this situation? For example, some have raised concerns: Despite the strict enforcement of real-name registration for mobile phones in mainland China, how are telecom fraud syndicates in northern Myanmar able to smuggle SIM cards abroad, register them, and integrate them into China's domestic communication networks while remaining concealed behind virtual numbers? Moreover, how many victims of telecom fraud exist in China? Why is the CCP, which typically employs 'grid management' and advanced surveillance technologies, unable to provide accurate statistics? Additionally, why has telecom fraud been able to thrive for such an extended period, and how extensive is the profit chain involved? How many individuals and which entities are implicated? Lastly, why is the grassroots initiative 'Star Homecoming Plan' facing difficulties in sustaining itself? The implications are deeply concerning.

The circumstances surrounding Luo Shuaiyu's death are being questioned, and Xi Jinping's remark about 'living to 150' has ignited intense debate, with investigations uncovering shocking hidden truths.

In May 2024, Luo Shuaiyu, an intern doctor at Xiangya Second Hospital of Central South University, tragically fell to his death from a dormitory building. Luo, a master's student focused on kidney transplantation, had previously declined the hospital's request to find 12 children aged 3 to 9 to act as organ donors. After his death, his parents discovered 158 audio recordings and 11,119 pages of documents on his computer, which revealed the existence of an illegal organ trade network at Xiangya Second Hospital, prompting them to go public with this information. They questioned whether their son had been pushed to jump from the building and insisted on defending their rights online, but faced ongoing suppression. On June 13, 2025, a joint investigation team set up by Hunan authorities finally issued a statement regarding Luo Shuaiyu's fall, claiming he had climbed to the rooftop and fallen alone, while dismissing any possibility of a criminal case. This sparked significant public interest, trending on social media and raising widespread concerns about the dark underbelly of the medical industry and organ harvesting.

On September 3, Reuters inadvertently recorded a conversation between Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin prior to a military parade in Beijing. Putin's translator remarked in Chinese, 'Biotechnology continues to develop,' and 'Human organs will be continuously transplanted, and people may even become younger, or even achieve immortality.' Xi Jinping replied in Chinese, 'Some predict that in this century... it may be possible to live to 150 years old.' Due to the collaboration between CCTV and international media like Reuters, this footage was quickly disseminated by media outlets around the world, igniting public discourse.

On September 22, the International Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong published a report titled 'The Shocking Dark Secret of the CCP Military's Live Organ Harvesting of Infants.' The report reveals that to extend the lifespan of high-ranking officials in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to '150 years,' military hospitals had begun 'infant organ transplant' experiments over a decade ago. In recent years, they have overcome two significant technical hurdles, gradually moving towards large-scale implementation. The investigation indicates that the technology for infant kidney transplants has become well-established, with some donors being 'designated infants' born to artificially inseminated women kept in captivity. Experts from military hospitals have described this as one of the most heinous medical crimes in human history.

In fact, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University disclosed in 2017 that 90% of pediatric kidney donors were allocated to adult patients. In 2023, doctors at Renji Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, published a study in the American Journal of Transplantation, reporting two cases of kidney transplants using kidneys from newborns born at 29 weeks and 29 weeks and 5 days, respectively, for patients suffering from end-stage renal failure. The recipients of the kidneys were a 34-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman. The kidneys from the two newborns were harvested on the second and third days after their birth, respectively.

Commentary: Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, what has been described as "the unprecedented evil on this planet"—the live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners for transplantation—has quickly become industrialised. The soaring demand for organs has broadened the victim demographic from just Falun Gong practitioners to include Uyghurs, students, beggars, and the general populace. The CCP has created an extensive database that enables it to conduct "targeted killings" and "precision killings." In contemporary China, anyone could potentially become a victim. The refusal to accept the official narrative surrounding Luo Shuaiyu's death, the horror expressed over the party leader's claim of "living to 150," and the shock regarding the CCP military's live harvesting of infants' organs all indicate that the Chinese people must awaken; they need to establish a clear boundary with the CCP for their own survival and dignity, as well as for the future of their children and descendants.

Summary: The darkness of China and the malevolence of the CCP surpass what normal individuals can fathom. In today's China, if you can assert your individuality, you are considered a hero.
