Why is Yu Menglong Unable to Escape His Misfortune Recent Revelations Shed Light on the Big Boss!

According to an insider, Xiao Tao, during a critical moment, Yu Menglong was under surveillance by his agent, Du Qiang. His wallet, clothing, and pants were all fitted with listening devices and tracking locators, and even his WeChat, text messages, and photo albums were remotely monitored, leaving him without any personal freedom. [People News] The Chinese Communist Party has not yet revealed the truth behind the Yu Menglong case, while netizens are actively searching for clues. Recently, some netizens discovered that after Yu Menglong's contract with Tianyu Media expired, he signed with a new agency, Tianjin Deep Blue Film and Television. This company is a subsidiary of the Chinese Cultural (CMC) Group, and its ultimate owner, Li Ruigang, has close connections with high-ranking officials in the Communist Party. Furthermore, a variety show director from mainland China disclosed that, given Yu Menglong's exceptional talents, he should have achieved stardom, but for many years, his agency intentionally kept him in the shadows, causing him to miss many opportunities for exposure.

Following Yu Menglong's death, there has been a wave of scepticism regarding the cause of his death, along with public outrage over his alleged concealment and mistreatment by his agency during his life. Tianyu Media, where Yu Menglong was employed prior to his death, quickly issued a statement claiming, 'The contract had long expired, and we are not aware of the facts,' completely absolving themselves of any responsibility. However, various troubling rumours about the mysterious deaths of several artists under Tianyu Media have still been brought to light by the public.

Yu Menglong signed with Tianyu Media in 2013, and after his contract was terminated eight years later, the new company he signed with after establishing his studio in 2021 has yet to be disclosed. As public opinion surged towards Tianyu Media like a tidal wave, the company remained silent. At that time, outsiders criticised the team's inadequate response and the lack of support from the company. In reality, the influential figures behind this company are also financially powerful and no less significant than those at Tianyu Media.

According to users on the overseas social media platform Threads, Yu Menglong's visibility began to rise in 2023, and he changed his agents to Du Qiang and He Xiaoqing. This led the user to speculate that Yu Menglong had likely signed with Deep Blue Pictures at that time. Deep Blue Pictures is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chinese Cultural (CMC) Group, founded by Zhang Wei, the wife of mainland director Fang Li. Fang Li, Zhou Pin, Du Qiang, and He Xiaoqing are all employees of this company.

Public records indicate that the Chinese Cultural Group was established at the end of 2015, with Li Ruigang serving as the founder, chairman, and CEO. Additionally, he is a non-executive director of Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited, chairman and non-executive director of Shaw Brothers Holdings, and dean of the School of Creative Arts at Shanghai University of Science and Technology.

Li Ruigang's resume is quite impressive. He has held positions such as director of Shanghai Broadcasting and Television Station, president of Shanghai Media Group, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and director of the Municipal Committee Office. Notably, Li Ruigang has a background in the Communist Party, and it is rumoured that he has a close relationship with Li Tong, the daughter of former Politburo Standing Committee member Li Changchun. Li Tong's 'China Cultural Investment Fund' has invested in the 'Chinese Cultural Industry Investment Fund' (CMC), making her an investment partner of Li Ruigang's company. This suggests that Li Ruigang has significant political backing.

Public records indicate that CMC operates over 20 companies, effectively covering nearly every sector of China's film and television industry, including Caixin, Hong Kong's TVB, and CAA. Additionally, CMC invested billions in 2016 to become the second-largest shareholder of Mango Excellent Media, which owns Tianyu Media as a subsidiary.

Reports suggest that in 2018, Yu Menglong attempted to terminate his contract with Tianyu Media, even making a public show of unfollowing them on Weibo and announcing a signing with CAA, one of Hollywood's top three talent agencies, for a director training program. However, it is important to note that CMC is also a major shareholder in CAA.

This means that Tianyu Media, Mango Excellent Media, CMC, CAA, and Deep Blue Pictures are all closely interconnected, creating a network of capital relationships that mutually benefit one another. Thus, even if Yu Menglong were to switch to another agency, he would still be operating under the same capital structure. Consequently, it is not surprising that after the Yu Menglong incident came to light, his new agency, Deep Blue Pictures, chose to remain silent. Behind closed doors, they are essentially part of the same family. Yu Menglong has consistently been under the influence of the same capital, and his circumstances have not changed.

Given Yu Menglong's talent and good looks, he should have numerous opportunities to appear in public, yet he has not received the expected level of exposure. Why is this the case? Perhaps insights from a mainland variety show director could shed light on the matter.

This variety show director expressed her bewilderment, stating that for many years in her role as a variety show director, she never once considered Yu Menglong when selecting stars. This sentiment was shared not only by her but by the entire company and various teams involved in program planning, who also overlooked Yu Menglong.

She explained, "When we present our proposals, it’s a collective meeting where different teams take turns to report. Why do I remember this so vividly? Because during our discussions about these stars and their fit for the program, we always evaluate whether their style aligns with the show. Given his background in talent shows and his good looks, at that time, with 'Three Lives, Three Worlds', he was actually gaining popularity. If the goal was to make money, they could have easily promoted him. With his admirable character and attractive appearance, we’re not suggesting he could become the top star, but at the very least, he could have received some exposure, which I believe would have been entirely feasible. Their company has that capability, right? Yet, during those few years when the variety show market was thriving, how many stars were launched and how many young actors became popular? Honestly, this company has truly lost its moral compass!"

Indeed, the actions of this capital are utterly ruthless! Yu Menglong's destiny has always been in the hands of these capital forces. Currently, the police are not pursuing a case simply because the truth surrounding Yu Menglong's death cannot be revealed. In China, the collusion between capital and the elite can lead to a state of lawlessness, with the police acting as pawns for the powerful. The authority held by officials can dictate all narratives, enabling one to become either a celebrated figure or a pariah, to be hailed as a hero or to vanish entirely.

Indeed, the Chinese Communist Party has the ability to control the narrative, and it has managed to do so for an extended period. However, the consequence of this control is that in the future, no one will believe a single word of the official statements. As long as the significant doubts in people's minds remain unresolved, they will not abandon their quest for the elusive truth. There are indeed simple yet absurd scams in this world that seem unbelievable but continue to exist. The presence of such lies damages the government's credibility and undermines the rational consensus within society, far surpassing the effects of mere rumours and scepticism. Doubt is fundamentally the starting point of rational thought. When questioning is suppressed in a society, the real danger is that people will gradually become accustomed to not thinking; this inertia will erode their minds, ultimately leading to a loss of even the courage to seek knowledge.

In Tianshui, Gansu Province, the lead poisoning incident has ceased to attract any inquiries, and no one in the leadership has faced consequences for it. Residents of Hangzhou are consuming sewage that flows from their taps, and an official announcement has merely brushed the issue aside. There are no questions being asked, no investigations taking place, and no one is searching for the truth; official news has become irrelevant, and there is no oversight of society or the state, with only netizens tracking and questioning the situation. Meanwhile, the party media of the Chinese Communist Party continues to extol peace and prosperity. After witnessing so much of this, when compared to the realities unfolding around them, it can feel suffocating, ultimately numbing some individuals to the pursuit of truth.

However, in light of the Yu Menglong incident, the awareness of resistance among mainland netizens has awakened like never before, suggesting that times may change as a result. Under the dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party, although mainland society has become dark and unrecognisable, as long as the seeds are buried underground and the roots are firmly planted in the soil, spring will inevitably arrive.
