[People News] On August 29, overseas X platform users reported that at around 10 p.m. local time in China, huge anti-CCP slogans were projected onto a tall building in Xijie, University Town, Chongqing. The projection lasted more than 50 minutes. By the time police tracked the source to a hotel across the street, the activist had already disappeared, leaving only a letter on the desk.

According to online sources, the activist projected four giant slogans:

“Only without the Communist Party will there be a New China. Freedom is not a gift; it must be reclaimed.”

“Rise up, all who refuse to be slaves! Stand and resist to reclaim your rights.”

“Down with Red Fascism! Overthrow the Communist dictatorship.”

“We want truth, not lies. We want freedom, not slavery. Step down, tyrannical CCP!”

Reports say the projection equipment was only shut down once police entered the hotel room. By then, the room was already empty, with a letter left on the desk.

In the letter, the activist addressed readers as “friends.”

He stated first that he did not belong to any organisation and that his action was forced by desperation. He urged authorities not to harass unrelated people, and warned police not to help the CCP commit its endless crimes.

The letter said: “Perhaps you are a beneficiary now, but most Chinese have suffered persecution at the hands of the CCP. The CCP launches a major political campaign every three years and a smaller one every ten years, leaving countless families broken.”

The activist further warned that even current “beneficiaries” might one day become victims: “Please treat others kindly within your ability. And if you have no choice, at least aim your gun a little higher.”

He also urged the public to seek the truth: “Truth is truth. Just as clouds blocking the sun do not mean the sun doesn’t exist. If people stand up and resist, then evildoers cannot act with impunity.” The letter was signed: August 16, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Mama Hotel, Chongqing University Town.

The daring act sparked heated discussion on overseas social media:

“Beautifully done!”

“Respect.”

“This spotlight projection method is really excellent!”

“This is a warrior. Dawn is near — good luck to him.”

“The clear-minded people living in that building must have felt thrilled.”

“Democracy is the future of all humanity. Dictatorship and authoritarian rule are humanity’s greatest enemies.”

In recent months, voices of grassroots resistance in China have continued to surface.

In Jiangyou, Sichuan, crowds shouted “Down with the Communist Party!” and “Down with Xi Jinping!”

In Kunming, Yunnan, a man appeared in front of the War of Resistance Victory Memorial Hall holding a banner reading “Xi Jinping Step Down.”

In Langfang, Hebei, street poles were plastered with slogans declaring “CCP ≠ China.”

According to videos circulating on overseas platforms, graffiti has also appeared in public toilets in Beijing, reading “The CCP should have perished long ago” and “Down with Xi Jinping.” Reportedly, in districts such as Dongcheng, Xicheng, and Chaoyang, public toilets now require real-name QR code registration to use, with new “toilet police” posts created for surveillance. △
