Trump further emphasised: "This fierce and precise bombing will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week, or as long as necessary, until we achieve our goal of peace in the Middle East and around the world!"

Experts have indicated that the significant shifts in Iran's political landscape have inflicted a triple blow on Xi Jinping, as nations previously co-opted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are likely to realign their allegiances.

Mikio Yabuki: A 'Triple Blow' to Xi Jinping

Mikio Yabuki, a senior Japanese media figure and Executive Director of the Indo-Pacific Strategy Institute, stated on Facebook that the United States and Israel carried out a joint airstrike on Iran, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The Iranian government has confirmed this information, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has vowed to severely punish the 'murderers.' However, it is widely understood that such statements are typical of dictatorial regimes.

Yabuki noted that many were caught off guard by the fact that Iran, which once prided itself on being the 'strongest anti-American nation in the Middle East,' could be so easily overwhelmed. While the events unfolding in Iran may appear to be a regional issue, they are closely tied to the CCP, representing at least a triple blow to Xi Jinping.

First, the CCP's previously celebrated 'great power image of guiding the world' has been exposed as a facade. For a strategic ally and subordinate like Iran, which has consistently aligned itself with the CCP, the latter has shown neither the courage nor the capability to provide protection. This raises the question: on what grounds can the CCP assert its strength on the global stage?

Second, the long-touted myth of the CCP's defence systems has been debunked by reality. Both Venezuela, which faced challenges earlier this year, and Iran, currently in turmoil, are key markets for Chinese arms exports. The international community has observed that these air defence systems and strategic deployments are ineffective against the U.S. military. As a result, many countries will likely reconsider whether it is worthwhile to invest in Chinese weaponry.

Third, Xi Jinping's personal sense of security has been disrupted. Such a high-level decapitation operation can only be executed by the world's strongest military power. When a 'big boss' showcases this capability on the global stage, other self-styled tough leaders must reconsider their positions.

From March 31 to April 2, Trump is set to visit China. Yabuki Akio remarked, 'When Trump visits Beijing, he aims to make the other side recognise the reality before negotiations: do you still dare to confront the United States?' He further noted that Trump's approach resembles that of the legendary old Chinese doctor from Henan, who is known for 'specialising in treating disobedience'—administering strong medicine first, then discussing treatment.

Xie Jinhai: The world is about to undergo significant changes

Xie Jinhai, chairman of Taiwan's Caixin Media, shared on Facebook that on January 5, the U.S. military captured Venezuelan dictator Maduro and his wife alive, and now, with the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei, Iran is on the brink of major changes. He believes that the world will experience remarkable transformations, and countries that were previously bought off by the Chinese Communist Party will realign their allegiances.

Xie Jinhai pointed out that the news of the U.S. capturing Maduro and his wife on January 5 spread quickly across the globe, leading to a surge of 775 points in the Taiwan stock market the following day. Regarding the reasons behind this sharp rise in the Taiwan stock market, he analysed that the world is signalling that Taiwan's security has been significantly enhanced. Precision strikes have replaced traditional ground troop operations, meaning the U.S. no longer needs to deploy large forces to other countries for combat, as it did during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Now, it simply needs to target and 'decapitate' authoritarian dictators.

Xie Jinhé remarked that the power of technology has replaced the old tactics of mass landings and field battles, shifting towards precision strikes. He asserted that as long as the target is the dictatorial leader, the war is effectively over! This has led to a rapid transformation in Venezuela, with the United States even warning the successor, Rodríguez, that if she does not cooperate, her fate could be worse than that of Maduro! Meanwhile, Beijing has swiftly obscured the positioning of Zhongnanhai.
