[People News] On February 25 this year, which is the ninth day of the first lunar month, a video captured a sudden downpour accompanied by thunder and lightning in Zhumadian, Henan, around nine o'clock in the evening. According to the traditional calendar, the solar term has not yet transitioned to the beginning of spring, and the thunder that occurs during this time is referred to as 'winter thunder.' From the perspective of solar terms and climate, any thunder before the awakening of insects is classified as 'winter thunder.'
Folk beliefs hold that the appearance of winter thunder in the first month is an ominous sign. Numerous proverbs exist regarding this phenomenon:
'When thunder strikes in winter, nine out of ten cattle pens are empty.'
'When thunder sounds in the first month, expect a drought of one hundred and eight days.'
'Winter thunder in the first month brings thieves everywhere.'
'Winter thunder means piles of soil and grain (and human bones), February thunder means piles of dung and grain, March thunder means piles of wheat and grain.'
'Winter thunder means piles of graves, February thunder means clearing grass and ash, March thunder means piles of grain.'
…………
In essence, the occurrence of winter thunder in the first month foretells impending large-scale deaths of people and livestock, as well as severe droughts and other calamities.
In ancient texts, winter thunder is also viewed as an abnormal celestial event. For instance, in 'Lunheng: Thunder and Void,' it is stated, 'Winter thunder is said to leak yang energy.' This implies that winter thunder disrupts the balance of yin and yang, reflecting the prevalence of evil in the world and the absence of righteous energy. It also suggests that the year may experience unseasonal winds and rains, leading to poor harvests.
As noted in 'Huainanzi: Benjing Xun,' 'Spring is solemn, autumn is flourishing, winter thunder and summer frost arise from evil energy.' This indicates that the occurrence of winter thunder is a result of the malevolent energy generated by human treachery and chaos.
The text 'Wenzi·Jingcheng' asserts that 'violent phenomena against heaven, such as solar and lunar eclipses, the five stars losing their paths, the four seasons overlapping, daytime being dark while nighttime is bright, mountains collapsing, rivers drying up, winter thunder, and summer frost,' signify that these abnormal occurrences like winter thunder are the result of tyrannical governance that defies natural order.
The work 'Yilin·Wenzi Twelve Volumes' interprets this as a harbinger of a nation's downfall, stating, 'When daytime is dark, and nighttime is bright, mountains collapse, and rivers dry up, winter thunder and summer frost, this indicates that the nation is on the brink of collapse.'
Furthermore, 'Yiyao Zhan' mentions: 'When winter thunder is heard in the sky, the earth is bound to tremble.'
In conclusion, the appearance of winter thunder is certainly not a positive sign. An online article noted that since 2020, winter thunder has been reported every January up to 2023 in mainland China. For example, on the night of February 13, 2020 (the twentieth day of the first lunar month), over twenty provinces and cities across the country experienced thunder during the first month. This year coincided with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, leading to a dramatic increase in infections and deaths in various regions of the mainland. The pandemic continued to escalate in the subsequent three years.
On the night of February 24, 2021 (the thirteenth day of the first lunar month), winter thunder was recorded in Zhengzhou, along with a rare phenomenon of 'thunder and snow.' That year, Zhengzhou faced the tragic event of the 7.20 flood disaster.
On January 24, 2023 (the third day of the first lunar month), a video shared by a netizen from Yantai showed snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in Shandong. That year, many areas in mainland China witnessed unprecedented scenes of celebrating the New Year while in mourning.
On January 16, 2023, 'The Dajiyuan' reported that Mr Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, claimed that over the past three years of the pandemic in China, 400 million people have died, and by the end of this wave of the pandemic, the death toll could reach 500 million.
Does such a staggering number of deaths validate the prophecy of 'thunder in the first month, graves piled high' over these four years?
Let’s discuss Zhumadian in Henan Province. Henan is a significant grain-producing region, consistently achieving total grain production of over 130 billion jin for several years, ranking second in the nation. The province contributes one-fourth of the country's wheat output, managing to produce nearly 10% of the national grain yield with less than 6% of the arable land. State media often refer to Zhumadian as the 'granary of the Central Plains' and the 'oil depot of Zhongzhou.' The annual grain production in Zhumadian remains above 16 billion jin, with wheat accounting for approximately one-seventh of the province's total and one-twenty-sixth of the national total. Additionally, the annual output of oilseed crops is 1.7225 million tons, which is one-twenty-fifth of the national figure. The province also boasts rich livestock resources, leading the nation in the number of pigs, cattle, poultry, and sheep raised.
Last year, excessive rainfall negatively impacted the grain harvest in Zhumadian and other areas of Henan. Now, with thunder occurring in the first month of the lunar calendar, could this be a sign of impending disasters for Zhumadian, other regions in Henan, or even the entire mainland of China? Are we facing a plague, a drought, or some other calamity?
Ancient wisdom suggests that 'heaven shows signs, indicating good or bad fortune,' and the root cause of these disasters is attributed to the malevolent actions of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Thus, if one seeks to avoid disaster, the only solution is to discern between good and evil and to distance oneself from the CCP.
