[People News] After the video of Xi Jinping’s 2026 New Year's address was released on December 31, many netizens noticed startling changes in Xi Jinping’s appearance, sparking heated discussion.
The video shows Xi’s face looking puffy, with sagging skin. His once jet-black hair has now turned grey. Many netizens also noticed a thick, prominent bulge above the brow bone over Xi’s right eyebrow. The protrusion remained visible even when Xi spoke or blinked, prompting outside speculation about his health.
According to a report by Liberty Times, some netizens exclaimed that Xi Jinping resembled the conspiracy theory figure of a reptilian alien, so-called “lizard people” with the ability to change appearance. On the X platform, users posted biting comments such as: “Xi Jinping has been possessed by a lizard person,” “ferocious and menacing,” “this physiognomy is bad,” “Lizard Xi,” “so scary,” and “12 years of dictatorship—my god.”
On closer inspection, another obvious feature can be seen: Xi Jinping’s eyebrows are extremely sparse, so faint that they are almost invisible.
According to information found online, in physiognomy, eyebrows are said to reveal a person’s personality, intelligence, and patterns of thought and behaviour. Sparse eyebrows supposedly indicate incomplete intelligence and a tendency toward animalistic instincts. For women, having no eyebrows is said to signify having no children, or having children as if having none.
Moreover, the sparser the eyebrows, the prediction goes, the thinner a person’s family ties and friendships—fewer siblings and friends, or none at all. This is said to explain why Xi Jinping has carried out massive purges within the military in recent years, even personally purging nearly all the generals he himself promoted. According to this view, Xi is deeply suspicious, believing those around him could all be “Prigozhins.” Once he senses anything short of absolute political loyalty, he purges without hesitation.
According to Yuan Hongbing, a Chinese law professor living in Australia, who told Vision Times, Beijing’s official circles are abuzz with talk that Xi Jinping has been severely shaken by the major cases of disloyalty involving Miao Hua and He Weidong. His psychological state is said to be teetering on the brink of mental illness. As the saying goes, “the greatest sorrow is a dead heart.” Xi is allegedly suffering extreme inner torment because he can no longer judge people’s intentions and cannot understand why the “Xi family army” he personally cultivated ultimately repaid him with disloyalty and endless greed.
In addition, with everything going wrong, Xi Jinping is said to drink a bottle of Moutai liquor every day to drown his sorrows. At the same time, in order to realise lifelong rule and live to the age of 150, he allegedly undergoes regular blood transfusions using the blood of young soldiers. As a result, Beijing officialdom has reportedly given him a new nickname: “the Vampire.”
In order to extend his lifespan, Xi Jinping and top officials are said to have treated young male entertainers such as actor Yu Menglong as sacrificial offerings, attempting to seize their luck and borrow their lifespan. Yu Menglong was therefore allegedly threatened and tortured for 12 years. After the Beijing military parade, rumours circulated online that Yu Menglong died as a result of an occult sacrificial ritual. According to online feng shui practitioners, because Yu Menglong steadfastly refused to consent to being a sacrifice, the sinister ritual of stealing fortune and borrowing life failed, and Xi Jinping suffered backlash. This, they speculate, may be the main reason for the change in Xi’s facial appearance.
In fact, among the many suspected perpetrators said to have been present at the scene when Yu Menglong was killed, several have already suffered retribution. For example, recent online reports claim that capital tycoon Tian Hairong has had 147 million shares frozen, 108 million yuan in deposits seized, and her overseas trust pierced. Three funding channels were simultaneously tightened, and cinemas immediately terminated cooperation, because box-office revenues could flow directly into court-designated accounts rather than into producers’ hands. After hearing the news, many netizens commented that this was karmic retribution for doing evil—proof that bad deeds bring consequences. In early December, the film My World Without Me, which Tian Hairong invested in, was pulled from theatres shortly after release due to online boycotts and poor ticket sales. Large numbers of netizens left comments such as: “This is retribution in this lifetime!” The outside world widely believes Tian Hairong is connected to the “Yu Menglong incident,” and she has been harshly criticised and boycotted by the public.
