Former President Donald Trump stated that he will not debate Vice President Kamala Harris again because he believes they have already covered all necessary topics.
Trump made this announcement in an exclusive interview with Telemundo Arizona before his campaign rally in Tucson. He expressed satisfaction with his previous debates against Joe Biden and Harris, claiming that his poll numbers increased as a result. Trump also mentioned that Harris' campaign had challenged him to another debate, which he declined by posting on Truth Social that there will be no third debate.
Despite Trump's decision, Harris believes that they owe it to the voters to have another debate due to the importance of the upcoming election. However, the vice-presidential running mates, Republican Sen. JD Vance and Democratic Governor Tim Walz, are scheduled to have their only debate on October 1.
During the interview, Trump was questioned about his controversial claim during the debate regarding Haitian immigrants in Ohio eating dogs and other pets. He stood by his statement, mentioning that he had heard the information from local authorities and newspapers.
