Despite this shift, six toss-up states remain in play with a combined total of 78 electoral votes up for grabs, underscoring the unpredictability of this election. 

Debate watchers named Harris the winner of the recent presidential debate, with a CNN flash poll showing 63% in favor of Harris compared to 37% for Trump. However, the true impact of the debate on the race will likely take a few weeks to fully materialize. 

While Trump continues to hold steady support in the national polls, Harris has closed the gap and is now just one point behind him in the latest Fox national survey. Trump's message on issues like the cost of living and illegal immigration resonates with voters, but Harris has been making appeals to moderates, positioning herself as a strong contender in this tight race.
