[People News] As of October this year, at least 22 CCP officials in Guangdong Province have fallen from power, with 19 under investigation, 2 sentenced, and 1 expelled from public office. Among them are the Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Prison Administration Bureau, 4 political-legal committee secretaries (one also served as deputy director of the "610 Office"), 4 mayors, and 7 district party secretaries, district heads, or county heads. During their tenure, they were responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in their respective areas.

A partial list of these fallen officials:

Chen Xianqin, former Deputy Director of the "610 Office" at the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department and political-legal committee secretary, is under investigation. While serving as Deputy Director of the "610 Office," Chen bore leadership responsibility for the persecution of local Falun Gong practitioners. For example, Falun Gong practitioner Ye Xiaojie in Shanwei City was abducted in March 2004 and secretly sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Li Jianxiong, born in January 1963 in Nanhai, Guangdong, held various positions, including Director of the Chancheng Branch of the Foshan Public Security Bureau, Deputy District Head and Public Security Chief of Shunde District, and Deputy Director of the Foshan Public Security Bureau. During his tenure, Li followed the CCP in persecuting Falun Gong and bore leadership responsibility for the persecution of practitioners.

In April 2017, 67-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Feng Juan from Foshan was abducted to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center. After ten days of mistreatment, she suffered severe vomiting and diarrhea. She passed away on October 1, only two months after returning home, due to organ failure.

Zhou Yawei, born in October 1963 in Taishun, Zhejiang, held positions including Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal Government, Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou, and Secretary of the Huangpu District Party Committee. During his tenure, Zhou followed the CCP in persecuting Falun Gong and was responsible for related incidents.

Zhao Ping, a law lecturer at the Guangzhou Police Management Cadre Academy, second-level police supervisor, and lawyer, endured 17 years of persecution, including being dismissed from public office, having her home raided multiple times, illegal detentions, being sent to brainwashing centers four times, three years of forced labor, and a three-year prison sentence. She suffered extreme torture at the Guangdong Women's Prison and died of mistreatment on May 14, 2016, at the age of 58.

On July 30, 2024, it was reported in Guangdong that Liu Guangming, former Secretary of the Political-Legal Committee of Jieyang City, was under investigation for "serious violations of discipline and law."

Liu Guangming, born in July 1973 in Raoping, Guangdong, served as Secretary of the Rongcheng District Party Committee in Jieyang, a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Jieyang Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Jieyang Municipal Party Committee, and Secretary of the Political-Legal Committee, as well as Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration.

Liu followed the CCP in persecuting Falun Gong and bore leadership responsibility for related incidents.

On April 27, 2017, Falun Gong practitioner Wu Changqing from Huilai County, Jieyang, was illegally sentenced to 8 years in prison, while his daughter Wu Yuezhen received an unjust 2-year sentence.

On July 14, 2024, Guangdong media reported that Nie Jiawei, former mayor of Heshan City, was expelled from public office for "serious violations of the law." Born in January 1965 in Jiangmen, Guangdong, Nie held positions such as member of the Standing Committee and Deputy District Head of Xinhui District, Mayor of Heshan City, and Secretary of the Jianghai District Party Committee in Jiangmen. During his tenure, Nie followed the CCP in persecuting Falun Gong and bore leadership responsibility for related incidents.

On May 20, 2019, Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Liangnü from Nangong Fish Pit, Hecheng Town, Heshan City, was illegally taken away by the local police, and her whereabouts remain unknown. On May 14, 2019, Falun Gong practitioner Zeng Weiying from Hecheng Town was abducted; on December 24, 2020, she was unjustly sentenced to 8 years and imprisoned at the Guangdong Provincial Women's Prison.

As of October this year, at least 22 CCP officials in Guangdong Province have fallen from power, with 19 under investigation, 2 sentenced, and 1 expelled from public office. Among them are high-ranking officials such as deputy directors of prison administration, political-legal committee secretaries, mayors, district and county leaders. This tragic yet deplorable phenomenon of officials facing retribution for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners is noteworthy. CCP officials suffering retribution for their actions continue to emerge. For years, the CCP has utilized the illegal "610 Office" and other agencies to persecute Falun Gong practitioners through surveillance, residential monitoring, phone tapping, unwarranted harassment, illegal restrictions on freedom, arrests, abductions, detentions, extortion, home raids, searches, property seizures, forced confessions, verbal abuse, beatings, solitary confinement, sleep deprivation, prolonged standing, brainwashing, collective punishment, forced labor, reform through labor, and prison sentences.

Those who do good receive blessings; those who commit evil meet retribution. Divine forces will use various means to punish those who commit wrongdoing, which is what Chinese elders call retribution. It is hoped that mainland officials still participating in persecution learn a positive lesson from the tragedies faced by Guangdong CCP officials, cease their persecution, uphold kindness, and seek redemption and self-rescue. Treating Falun Gong practitioners well and doing good is the standard for being a decent person. May all who persecute practitioners be awakened by the retribution they face!

As circumstances evolve and time progresses, the thorough accounting of the CCP's crimes against Falun Gong will deepen. It is hoped that all conscientious and just people in China, as well as relevant international organizations, pay attention to the suffering of Falun Gong practitioners in China, observe the worsening state of human rights, and end this 25-year-long bloody persecution, restoring the dignity that humanity deserves. △
