[People News] Over the past ten days, mainland China has experienced a series of frequent earthquakes. On May 17 and 18, Liuzhou in Guangxi was hit by earthquakes measuring 3.2 and 5.2 in magnitude.

In ancient times, earthquakes were seen as warnings from heaven to the rulers. Dong Zhongshu, who introduced the concept of 'heaven and human resonance' during the Western Han Dynasty, emphasised the alarming nature of disasters, asserting that changes in natural disasters were a result of the rulers' mistakes. Different natural disasters correspond to various issues, and each disaster reflects distinct political failures, necessitating tailored remedial actions. For example, an earthquake indicates that subjects may harbour treacherous intentions, suggesting political instability, and the sovereign must take responsibility rather than relying on distant peace for the safety of the people. The appropriate response is to appoint virtuous and capable individuals and to address issues that disturb the populace. This aligns well with the current political landscape.

The most significant earthquake mentioned occurred in Beidaihe. It had an epicentre at a depth of 9 kilometres, with an average altitude of about 7 meters within a 5-kilometre radius. Although the magnitude was not particularly high, the occurrence of an earthquake in this location, once regarded by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership as the 'summer capital,' undoubtedly carries a stronger implication of divine warning.

From the era of Deng Xiaoping until 2002, Beidaihe served as a crucial site for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the Central Military Commission to address domestic and foreign affairs each summer. Consequently, Beidaihe is home to numerous vacation villas and hotels for various CCP units. After Hu Jintao assumed power, the practice of conducting work in Beidaihe was discontinued, yet it remains customary for senior CCP officials to retreat to Beidaihe for summer vacations in July and August, where they engage in informal discussions on significant issues during their time off.

Since Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, Beidaihe has continued to host various gatherings and even informal meetings during the summer months. Despite Xi's consolidation of power, which included restrictions on retired senior officials engaging in politics a few years ago, recent leaks indicate that informal communications in Beidaihe still persist.

The recent earthquake in Beidaihe prompts speculation: is it due to a high-ranking official of the Communist Party of China vacationing there, or is there another explanation? One thing is clear: the earthquake serves as a warning from above, and there must be a significant reason behind it.

It may not be a mere coincidence that on the night of May 27, when the earthquake struck Beidaihe, a fierce thunderstorm unfolded over Fuzhou, Fujian, creating a dramatic 'thunderstorm spectacle.' Statistics show that between 6 PM and 8 PM that evening, Fuzhou experienced a total of 5,376 lightning strikes. Additionally, a yellow rainstorm warning was issued in Fuzhou that day.

Fujian has witnessed unusual phenomena in previous years as well. For instance, on May 11, 2022, a rare blood-red sky appeared over the Mawei District of Fuzhou. Furthermore, on the evening of August 6, the Wan'an Bridge, which has stood for over 900 years in Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, caught fire and was ultimately destroyed.

Why are Fuzhou and Ningde in Fujian significant? The warning from above in this context is certainly not without reason and is likely connected to the Communist Party leader, Xi Jinping.

Fujian represents a significant phase in Xi Jinping's career within local government. Records indicate that in June 1985, a 32-year-old Xi was appointed as the Vice Mayor of Xiamen. However, due to a lack of notable political achievements, he failed to secure the necessary 50% of votes in the election for the Xiamen People's Congress and was reassigned to Ningde in 1988. There, he took on the roles of Secretary of the Ningde Prefectural Party Committee and First Secretary of the Ningde Military District Party Committee. During his tenure, he disciplined over 400 officials for corruption and focused on high-profile corruption cases, including those involving Lin Zengtuán from Fuding County and Zheng Xixuan, the Vice Chairman of the Ningde District Overseas Chinese Federation.

In June 1990, Xi was promoted to Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Fuzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, while also serving as President of Minjiang Vocational University (now Minjiang College). By 1993, he had become a member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee. Three years later, Xi Jinping was elevated to Deputy Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee. After another three years, he held successive positions as Vice Governor, Acting Governor, and Governor of Fujian Province, during which he assisted the central government in addressing the "Yuanhua Case" in Xiamen, overseen by Premier Zhu Rongji. It was not until 2002 that he was transferred to Zhejiang Province as Governor, marking the start of his ascent.

In other words, Xi spent a full 17 years working in Fujian’s officialdom, including 12 years in Fuzhou. In this place where he governed for such a long time, occurrences such as a blood-red sky, earthquakes, and the destruction of Wan’an Bridge have appeared. Whom is Heaven warning? Whose crisis is being revealed? Isn’t it quite clear?

In fact, over the past few years, there have been other examples in which Heaven has issued direct warnings in places associated with the Party leader. For instance, at around 8 p.m. on May 7, 2022, a rare blood-red sky appeared over the sea area of Putuo District in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. On May 10, the Leli River in Tianlin County, Baise, Guangxi—an area that supported Xi’s nomination as a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the CCP—suddenly turned blood red.

According to ancient texts, the appearance of blood-red skies and rivers portends war, famine, unjust imprisonment, political upheaval, and even bloodshed; it signals that the fate of the regime and its ruler is hanging by a thread.

From 2022 to 2026, four years have passed in the blink of an eye. The warnings from Heaven to the Party leader, to the CCP, and to the world have become increasingly frequent. The I Ching states, “Heaven displays signs to reveal fortune and misfortune.” Celestial phenomena correspond to changes in the human world. Are these increasingly frequent anomalies, sent by an all-seeing Heaven, conveying that the decisive moment determining the fate of Xi and the CCP is drawing near?
