US House passes temporary funding bill to end Homeland Security shutdown

March 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives late on Friday passed legislation providing funding for the Department of Homeland Security through May 22.

It faces probable defeat in the Senate, however, where Democrats are expected to oppose it.
