Just as the buzz was starting to die down, Japanese lawmaker Ishihara Seiji reignited the fervour.

Recently, during his program, Japanese Senator Ishihara Seiji launched a scathing attack on Xi Jinping, labelling him a 'primary school student', 'fool', 'stupid pig', and questioning 'what is he even'. The ferocity of his comments is quite rare in both Japanese and global political contexts.

Ishihara candidly remarked that almost everyone in China currently hates, looks down on, and despises Xi Jinping.
