[People News] At a recent forum titled 'The CCP's Escalation of Transnational Suppression' held in the U.S. Capitol, former Peking University Law School professor and prominent legal scholar Yuan Hongbing delivered a speech via remote video. He revealed the CCP's latest strategy for suppressing Falun Gong overseas and warned that it poses a significant threat to U.S. national interests.

Yuan Hongbing emphasised that the CCP's long-term suppression of the Falun Gong faith group is one of the most severe human rights disasters in 21st-century China. He noted that the efforts of Falun Gong practitioners abroad to maintain their beliefs and expose the truth have evolved into one of the most influential civic movements in contemporary China. He stated that these activities, which include media coverage and the international tours of Shen Yun, have helped the world recognise the CCP's inhumane nature, causing considerable panic within the CCP and prompting a new wave of transnational suppression actions.

According to Yuan Hongbing, during the expanded meeting of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CCP in 2022, Xi Jinping personally ordered the implementation of a so-called 'new round of suppression strategy' against Falun Gong, which can be summarised as 'one centre, two basic points.'

He explained that 'one centre' refers to the character assassination and moral destruction of the founder of Falun Gong. In Xi Jinping's own words, this involves executing a 'spiritual beheading' of Falun Gong, with the aim of undermining its foundational beliefs.

The two fundamental aspects are 'public opinion warfare' and 'legal warfare.' Yuan Hongbing explained that public opinion warfare seeks to launch rumours and smear campaigns through Western media. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) employs incentives and bribery to recruit media professionals and freelance writers to publish defamatory articles against Falun Gong, thereby further diminishing Falun Gong's influence in the international arena.

Regarding 'legal warfare,' the CCP initiates malicious lawsuits based on false allegations, targeting media outlets established by Falun Gong, the Shen Yun performing arts group, and other cultural institutions, engaging in what is termed 'vexatious litigation.' The objective is to exhaust the resources of the opposing party through the litigation process, hinder their development, and simultaneously undermine their credibility and moral standing.

Yuan Hongbing noted that this transnational suppression system is spearheaded by the CCP's Ministry of State Security, with the current Minister Chen Yixin clearly outlining the strategic directive: 'We must leverage the freedoms, democracy, and rule of law of Western nations to counter Falun Gong; this is our paramount strategy.'

Yuan Hongbing stressed that the CCP's infiltration and manipulation of the United States are not limited to specific groups but also aim to subvert American social systems and core values. 'This public opinion and legal warfare clearly demonstrates that the CCP's United Front infiltration poses a significant threat to U.S. national security.'

Additionally, Yuan Hongbing disclosed that several of his former students from Peking University and Guizhou Normal University now occupy key positions within the CCP's legal system. Many of them are profoundly dissatisfied with the CCP's internal policies and provide him with pertinent internal intelligence through confidential channels.

He urged American political leaders and the public to recognise the significant dangers posed by the Chinese Communist Party's transnational repression and infiltration. He called for the strengthening of mechanisms to resist the CCP's united front activities, in order to protect the foundational principles of freedom of speech and judicial fairness.△
