[People News] An X account known for multiple leaks has shared a piece of news that has garnered significant attention, concerning a shift in the highest power within the Chinese Communist Party. Although this news has not been officially confirmed, it has sparked intense discussions in light of recent developments in Zhongnanhai and changes among high-ranking officials.
According to the report, the primary reason for Xi Jinping's 'failure' is his deteriorating health—he reportedly suffered a stroke and underwent a craniotomy, with his condition being extremely critical, essentially on the brink of death.
Those familiar with the internal dynamics of the Chinese Communist Party understand that when the highest leader loses the ability to act or make decisions, the risk of power transfer becomes inevitable. The report indicates that, as a result of military manoeuvres, Xi Jinping's power was seized by opposing factions. Upon waking, Xi found that the situation had drastically changed, and it would be nothing short of a fantasy to expect his rivals to willingly return power to him!
Naturally, Xi Jinping was reluctant to accept this outcome and subsequently made several attempts to rely on trusted military allies to reverse the situation and reclaim power. However, those with actual military authority acted swiftly, purging military generals closely associated with Xi, including Miao Hua, the Director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and He Weidong, the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission.
The leaks further allege that He Weidong, the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, He Hongjun, the Executive Deputy Director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and former Vice Chairman Xu Qiliang participated in an armed counterattack with real weapons, which ultimately failed, resulting in their execution. With Xu Qiliang's death, the military purge is nearing its conclusion, and the old power structure led by Xi Jinping is disintegrating.
Reports indicate that the actual transfer of power has largely been completed, with only formalities left to address. The official announcement is expected to be made during the Fourth Plenary Session, which is anticipated to take place in July, although it could potentially be moved up to June.
Given the current complexities of the international landscape, the Chinese Communist Party may be inclined to expedite its internal transition process. Prior to this, the primary task at the highest level is to finalise the vetting and purging of the new Politburo members. Once this is settled, the Fourth Plenary Session will be convened promptly to announce the new leadership core to the public. △
