[People News] Since the end of last year, multiple provinces in China have been ravaged by influenza A, causing many deaths. At the same time, netizens have revealed that human infections of avian influenza (commonly referred to as "human avian flu") have also broken out in several provinces, with some cities already expanding makeshift hospitals. Meanwhile, avian flu and swine fever have caused significant losses to many livestock farmers. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has largely covered up the situation and reported very little on it.
According to Dajiyuan, on March 10, a social media broadcaster named Li Mingyu told his followers that at least four provinces—including Anhui, Shandong, Guangdong, and Guangxi—are currently experiencing the spread of human avian flu. He stated that the outbreak in Anhui has already become widespread, and Shandong has also built numerous quarantine facilities. Human avian flu has also appeared in Shenzhen, Guangdong, where it is circulating alongside influenza A, COVID-19 (also known as the "CCP virus"), and norovirus. He emphasized that Shenzhen's strong food culture has contributed to the high spread of avian flu, with more than a dozen deaths in a single day. He added, "These things are happening quietly where you can’t see them, and this information won’t be directly disclosed to the public."
Another epidemic prevention worker, Li Hua (a pseudonym), confirmed on March 10 that human avian flu has broken out in multiple locations across China, with Shenzhen being particularly severe, and quarantine centers already set up. He explained that the new quarantine facilities consist of individual rooms, with daily medication, meals, and supplies delivered by robots, while on-duty doctors handle prescriptions and medical examinations.
On March 12, Li Hua further stated to Dajiyuan that the main avian flu viruses currently in China include H5N1, H7N9, and the H5 and H7 strains, which are highly lethal. The H5 strain is even more deadly than H7. For birds and animals, infection leads to a 100% fatality rate, while for humans, the mortality rate exceeds 50%.
A netizen revealed that on November 8 last year, when a staff member from the Huanggang City Disease Control Center in Hubei Province called residents in a neighborhood for sample collection, they inadvertently disclosed that they were testing for avian flu as part of routine sampling and testing in certain areas. Another epidemic prevention worker visiting homes reportedly told residents, "We are conducting epidemic monitoring, and there is no need to tell anyone about this."
In the comment section, a netizen from Jiangsu questioned, "Is the Disease Control Center an enforcement agency?" Meanwhile, a Guangxi resident expressed concern, saying, "Is the epidemic coming like this?" Wang, a resident of Shanghai, commented, "This is how things work in China—they only announce it when they can no longer cover it up. By then, poultry farmers have already sold their sick chickens at the market."
Additionally, a video posted by a netizen on March 11 exposed epidemic prevention personnel entering residential buildings to disinfect homes, triggering widespread speculation and anxiety.
Furthermore, according to an official public notice on the Urumqi municipal government website, the city is currently constructing a large-scale makeshift hospital. The public consultation period for this project was from February 26 to March 5, 2025. Official documents state that the makeshift hospital, located on Nanyuan Road in Midong District, will include a one-story emergency treatment hall, three three-story dormitory buildings for medical staff, a three-story logistics complex, and a gas boiler room. The total construction area will be 52,100 square meters, with a floor area ratio of 0.51 and a building density of 37.83%.
A whistleblower regarding avian flu has previously disclosed online that while temporary makeshift hospitals are being dismantled due to their inability to meet epidemic prevention requirements, permanent makeshift hospitals are being preserved and even expanded. This is considered an essential part of emergency preparedness. The public must recognize the situation: if a large-scale outbreak occurs, a massive number of patients will need to be accommodated. Preparing in advance is crucial. Moreover, with the increasing global severity of influenza, both the World Health Organization (WHO) and official disease control agencies have acknowledged that more severe outbreaks are inevitable. He further warned, "If this were merely a case of being cautious, I wouldn’t say anything. But a new round of threats has already emerged."
Numerous farmers have taken to the internet to express that avian influenza and swine fever have inflicted significant losses on them.
On March 7, a farmer from Hebei shared a video revealing that all 900 of his geese died overnight due to avian influenza, leaving no medicine to save them. Previously, his family had raised pigs, but they all perished from swine fever.
A technician named Sun, who specializes in providing technical services to farmers, issued a warning on February 21, stating, "This year's avian influenza affecting ducks and geese is particularly severe. Since the start of the year, over a dozen farmers have essentially lost everything. Some farms have reported losses of tens of thousands of ducks. The total losses amount to hundreds of thousands."
On February 23, a biotechnology company in Shandong also released a crucial notice on social media, urging, "All goose farmers, please pay attention: all veterinary drug salespeople, feed salespeople, and any outsiders must not enter our farming areas. The recent outbreak of avian influenza is extremely serious, and we cannot afford to take it lightly."
The video stressed, "Currently, the Shandong region is experiencing a full outbreak. Significant casualties have already begun in Anhui and Weifang. It is imperative to implement preventive measures. After administering the avian influenza vaccine, it is crucial to use the oral vaccine from Balienkang for secondary prevention."
On February 24, a technical service provider in Henan, known as 'Lili', also posted a video stating that avian influenza is very severe, and since the beginning of the year, tens of thousands of farmers have essentially lost everything, with some large farms facing losses in the hundreds of thousands.
According to sources familiar with the matter, while the country has mandated the vaccination of poultry, most regions have yet to begin the vaccination process. Shandong province started implementing this on March 1, and other areas are beginning to follow suit.
A whistleblower on mainland avian influenza has expressed concerns that mandatory vaccination could accelerate mutations and increase the risk of human infection. As the global poultry industry suffers devastating impacts and avian influenza poses a serious threat to human health, countries have started to enforce mandatory vaccinations for poultry in an effort to control the situation. However, even if the supply of poultry is secured and the poultry industry is preserved, widespread human-to-human transmission could lead to catastrophic consequences.
This news has ignited intense discussions among overseas netizens. A reader from The Epoch Times commented, "Just the other morning, I was watching short videos on WeChat and soon came across three mainlanders under sixty years old who suddenly died! They were all individuals of some standing with established careers!" Another user questioned, "Why are these people and organizations creating viruses that harm humanity? Who authorized this?" They added, "Concealing the truth will not stop the spread of the epidemic."
Other netizens have voiced their opinions, stating: "The ongoing tragedies in the real world, the incessant sound of ambulance sirens for years, the continuous loss of lives around us, the deteriorating environment, and the spread of various lies and nonsense—despite enduring so many disasters, the Chinese people never take a moment to reflect on themselves. They continue to allow the external evil doctrines propagated by the CCP to erode our souls and essence. 'By disrespecting the divine, blaspheming faith, we have degenerated into mere high-level animals with human skin! Thus, the unending and unimaginable disasters, the relentless suffering, are only to be expected! This echoes the ancient saying: Fortune and misfortune have no door; it is only man who summons them!'
'Yet people still seek solutions externally, remaining unresolved, and thus the disasters repeat!' 'The CCP is the source of the plague, the root of all evil. Without eliminating the CCP and restoring the Republic, various plagues will persist, and human suffering will not cease.' 'The CCP (Communist bandits) continues to hide the epidemic to maintain its grip on power.' 'Due to the CCP's (Communist bandits) consistent concealment, cover-up, suppression, and prohibition of reporting, many Chinese people are completely unaware of what is happening in society. Even more foolishly, for decades, the CCP (Communist bandits) has instigated numerous movements, leading to countless deaths and injuries, with people fleeing their homes for safety. Yet, there are always those who believe the CCP's (Communist bandits') sweet words, which are essentially ghost stories, lies, and empty rhetoric. The devastation caused by the CCP virus pandemic is evident, yet people quickly forget the pain once the wounds heal, as always, whatever the Party says is accepted as truth.'
Others have remarked: 'The plague will not forget the CCP, for the CCP is the root cause; distancing from the CCP is the only way to avoid disaster.'
