[People News] The CCP's control over the people is increasingly tightening. The Changsha City government in Hunan has required that citizens report group meals in advance, and the public has stated that the Communist Party is sitting on a powder keg, fearing social unrest.
On December 16, the Changsha Market Supervision Administration launched Hunan's first "Group Meal Reporting Mini Program," requiring restaurants to register for this app and report details such as the number of attendees, the purpose of the meal, the name of the organizing entity, the time, and the location.
The government requires that meals involving 10 tables, about 100 people, must be reported, and regulatory personnel will "check and evaluate online." For large-scale meals with more than 500 people, regulatory personnel will "provide on-site guidance."
The Changsha government's requirement for citizens to report meals has sparked criticism online: "When you eat, there's someone watching; but when you can't eat, no one cares!"
Changsha resident Mr. Yang said, "They don't regulate what they should, but they regulate what they shouldn't. They're afraid of people causing trouble. Right now, there's a lot of social discontent, high unemployment, young people can't find jobs—not because they don't want to, but because there are no jobs. There's mortgage and car loans, along with pressure from family, healthcare, and education. The economic pressure makes it feel like we're sitting on a powder keg."
Recently, a screenshot was circulated in Chinese WeChat groups, showing that the CCP's Ministry of Public Security has issued eight "things that can no longer happen," including: no more major political stability risks; no more non-organized, large-scale gatherings like "night rides"; no more incidents related to the "white paper movement," or memorial and mourning activities.
Changsha resident Mr. Fan said, "This shows that their (the CCP’s) regime is extremely unstable. It is on the verge of collapse, afraid that a single spark could ignite a fire. They want to nip these things in the bud. Their insecurity and fragility are at the weakest point in 75 years. Now we just have to wait and see how long it takes for them to fall. We’re hoping it collapses. Once it collapses, it’s over."
