[People News] On November 21, Dajiyuan published a report titled "The CCP’s Minister of State Security Launches Attacks on Falun Gong in the U.S." The article mentions that Chen Yixin, the Minister of State Security of the CCP, driven by his political ambitions, sought to curry favor and gain rewards from higher-ups by orchestrating attacks on Falun Gong overseas.
The report states that, according to insiders within the CCP's Public Security Bureau, "since the spring of this year, [Chen Yixin] has been secretly planning the latest round of attacks. His plan is to dismantle Falun Gong's 'overseas forces,' disintegrate the Falun Gong organization, and completely resolve the Falun Gong issue by the end of the year. In doing so, he aims to use this achievement to gain recognition and rewards from Xi Jinping."
This might explain why some social media platforms overseas, and even certain mainstream media outlets, have recently published articles attacking Falun Gong and Shen Yun Performing Arts, using propaganda techniques reminiscent of the CCP's earlier campaigns against Falun Gong.
Why has Chen Yixin, the CCP's Minister of State Security, launched attacks on Falun Gong in the U.S. at this particular time? I believe there are three reasons for this:
First, This is the CCP's Final Struggle Before Its Collapse.
The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has lasted 25 years. Despite its relentless efforts, the CCP has failed to destroy Falun Gong. Instead, Falun Gong has spread further, reaching 156 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and Africa. Meanwhile, the CCP has effectively undermined itself, as evidenced by the following:
Unprecedented corruption within the CCP. Brutal internal power struggles marked by a life-or-death intensity. A crumbling economy on the verge of collapse. Severe ecological deterioration across the board. The CCP’s leaders live in constant fear, worried about potential uprisings, military coups, or political upheavals. They dread the possibility of a scenario where their regime crumbles, leaving them to reflect on their downfall in despair.
Falun Gong's core principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. In persecuting Falun Gong, the CCP has adhered to its opposite ideology of Falsehood, Evil, and Struggle. Over 25 years of propagating these toxic values domestically and internationally, the CCP has eroded moral standards, undermined the rule of law, and poisoned people's hearts. This is a key reason why the CCP now faces an existential crisis.
As the CCP reaches the end of its road due to its persecution of Falun Gong, Chen Yixin, the Minister of State Security, continues to act for his own self-interest by launching attacks against Falun Gong in the United States. This is nothing more than the CCP’s last desperate struggle before its inevitable demise.
Second, This is the Final Gamble of the CCP's Beneficiaries from the Persecution of Falun Gong.
Since the CCP launched its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, a group of officials has emerged at all levels, from the central government to local administrations, who have risen to power and amassed wealth through persecuting Falun Gong. These individuals have formed an interest group bound together by mutual gain and loss.
Although the persecution has failed internationally and cannot be sustained domestically without constant repression and deceit, these individuals persist in persecuting Falun Gong to protect their vested interests and avoid accountability for their crimes. This explains why the machinery of persecution continues to operate, even after one batch after another of officials involved in the persecution has faced retribution for their actions.
These beneficiaries of persecution are a group blinded by the lust for power and driven by greed to the point of irrationality. They refuse to acknowledge the reality that the persecution has already failed. When they receive false intelligence through certain foreign spies, agents, informants, proxies, or individuals with personal grievances, they take it at face value, believing they have uncovered "evidence" capable of "defeating Falun Gong."
In the past, they primarily relied on the Jiang faction, led by Jiang Zemin, the chief architect of the persecution. After Jiang's death, they began seeking new patrons among high-ranking officials in Xi Jinping's faction. Chen Yixin, the ambitious Minister of State Security eager to gain recognition and rewards, has become one of their key targets of alignment. Once their mutual interests aligned, Chen Yixin became one of the commanders of this vested interest group’s campaign against Falun Gong in the United States.
Third, This is Chen Yixin's Gamble for Promotion to a Vice-National-Level Position.
On March 20, 2018, as a key member of Xi Jinping’s "Zhijiang New Army," Chen Yixin was promoted by Xi to serve as Secretary-General of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission (PLAC), tasked with leading a massive political and legal purge. By the time of the 20th CCP National Congress in 2022, Chen had played a leading role in Xi's consolidation of control over the "knife handle" (the security apparatus), contributing significantly to Xi’s power. Chen initially believed that his diligent efforts would secure him a promotion to the position of Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission. However, to his surprise, Chen Wenqing, the former Minister of State Security, was instead elevated to that role during the 20th National Congress.
On October 30, 2022, Chen Yixin succeeded Chen Wenqing as Minister of State Security. By then, Chen Yixin was already 63 years old. The retirement age for CCP officials at the ministerial level is typically 65. If not investigated or dismissed, such officials usually retire to secondary roles in the National People’s Congress or the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Chen Yixin will turn 65 in 2024. Unwilling to fade into a secondary role, Chen, with his strong ambition for power, is striving to climb another step on the political ladder. To achieve this, he must "prove himself" by accomplishing new feats.
Since taking over the Ministry of State Security, Chen has been tirelessly attempting to stand out, striving to make a name for himself with extraordinary actions. He has shifted the ministry’s traditionally secretive and low-key approach, adopting methods he previously used in the PLAC, such as promoting "internet celebrity officials." In the summer of 2023, the Ministry of State Security launched an official WeChat public account for the first time, frequently publishing articles on economics, finance, diplomacy, and culture, which drew significant backlash for being overly showy and inappropriate.
In 2023, Chen led the ministry to offer a 500,000-yuan reward as part of a campaign for "citizen participation in catching spies," reminiscent of the Cultural Revolution’s nationwide campaigns to "catch traitors" and "catch spies." This created widespread fear, prompting many foreign businesses, organizations, and expatriates to leave China.
On April 29, 2024, Chen published a high-profile article advocating a new "Five-Anti Campaign" — targeting subversion, hegemony, separatism, terrorism, and espionage. Back in the day, Mao Zedong initiated a "Five-Anti Campaign," but Mao was the Chairman of the Communist Party. Chen Yixin, as a minister of a government department, overreached by proposing a new "Five-Anti Campaign," causing widespread dissatisfaction. On May 3, Chen was forced to have his lengthy article removed from the Ministry of State Security’s official Weibo account.
Attacking Falun Gong overseas became another major move in Chen's effort to "prove himself" and secure a promotion.
To this, I can only say that Chen Yixin’s ambition for promotion has driven him to madness.
After Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong, the CCP mobilized every available spy, agent, proxy, informant, and propaganda resource overseas to attack Falun Gong. What was the outcome? Every effort ended in failure.
A recent example is the case of John Chen (Chen Jun), a 72-year-old pro-CCP "community leader" in California. On November 19, he was sentenced to 20 months in prison by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for aiding the CCP in targeting Falun Gong in the U.S.
Chen Yixin’s attempt to gain promotion by attacking Falun Gong in the U.S. will only result in him "shooting himself in the foot."
Conclusion
In recent years, the CCP has been aware that its days are numbered. It has been deeply concerned about its potential collapse and is desperate to preserve its power. However, the CCP’s major decisions have often run completely counter to its goal of self-preservation.
Why is this? Because Falun Gong represents the principles of Buddha Law. Throughout history, persecuting Buddha Law has been considered a sin of immense magnitude. The CCP’s 25-year-long persecution of Falun Gong is the gravest crime among all the atrocities it has committed. △
