[People News] The renowned mainland singer Hua Chenyu held his Mars concert in Nanjing from October 4 to 6 at the Tangshan Music Valley. Earlier, he had paid tribute to his late friend Yu Menglong with a special stage backdrop at the Foshan Music Festival. At the Nanjing concert, he shared with fans that he 'hasn't come to terms with it yet.' Interestingly, on the day of the concert, October 5, the drone smoke again filled the sky and transformed into a dragon shape, leading netizens to express their emotions, saying: 'The dragon has come to see his brother.'

On October 6, Hua Chenyu performed the song 'I Miss Me Coming Back' at the concert, which he had also sung at the Foshan Music Festival. Before the performance, he engaged with the audience.

He remarked: 'After today, many of us will have to return to life on Earth, and during our time here, we may face some troubles and pressures. If you encounter difficulties, feel free to gather with Martians from time to time... as we await our next return to Mars. Together, we can use our voices to bring warmth to those around us.'

When Hua Chenyu sang 'I Miss Me Coming Back,' he was as emotional as he had been at the Foshan Music Festival, with fans noting that he sang with a voice nearly choked with tears. After the performance, Hua Chenyu appeared pensive and continued to chat with the fans.

He remarked, "Sometimes, I feel as if I don't truly understand myself, much like that song we just heard—half of it seems clear, while the other half feels chaotic. In life, I constantly try various methods and logics to make sense of myself, and then I reflect: have I genuinely come to terms with it, or has it only become more serious before I sought to save myself? So, it remains unresolved. However, when I return to Mars, I find that life there can simplify my thoughts. Therefore, let's use our voices to simply heal one another."

While Hua Chenyu (华晨宇) did not directly mention Yu Menglong (于朦胧) by name, his words subtly convey that he has yet to resolve the emotional turmoil surrounding the loss of his friend.

The 2013 "Super Boy" talent show was the beginning of the bond between Hua Chenyu and Yu Menglong. Hua Chenyu has openly stated that he shares the "best relationship" with Yu Menglong, affectionately referring to him as "Meng'er." During that year's competition, when Yu Menglong was eliminated, Hua Chenyu was so overwhelmed with emotion that he broke down and needed support.

On October 5, a netizen shared a video on the Douyin platform in mainland China, stating: "I saw the dragon at Hua Chenyu's concert!"

The netizen described, "The drone smoke floated in the air, and from a distance, it resembled a divine dragon descending from the heavens. The sunset looked like the dragon's eyes, and the weather was perfect; this extraordinary scene was incredible."

Videos shared by netizens show that after the colored smoke rose into the sky, it floated delicately and gradually transformed into the shape of a dragon. The most enchanting aspect was that the sun's position in the sky aligned perfectly with the dragon's eyes, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

Netizens reacted with comments like: "Yu Menglong also joined the concert!"

"The dragon came to visit his brother!"

"Yu Menglong has ascended to heaven and become an immortal!"

Some netizens expressed concern for Hua Chenyu, saying, "Hua Hua, please take care of yourself. The kind-hearted Menglong would want nothing more than for everyone to be healthy and safe."

On September 21, Hua Chenyu performed "I Miss Me Coming Back" at the Foshan Music Festival. The stage backdrop featured a blend of various symbolic elements, which netizens interpreted as Hua Chenyu paying tribute to Yu Menglong.

A white humanoid figure was depicted falling from a height on the stage screen, prompting the audience to associate it with Yu Menglong's passing. Above the backdrop, projections included a black hand symbolising "manipulation," shattered glass, and multi-layered stairs suggesting tall buildings. At the song's climax, a large white hand appeared in the background to catch the falling figure, moving netizens to tears.

Additionally, petals were seen scattering in the wind, and the stage colours shifted between black and white and vibrant hues, seemingly reflecting the theme of "life and death separated." Notably, the visuals incorporated Yu Menglong's favourite pink colour. These design choices were interpreted by netizens as "a memorial with hidden messages."

Many netizens expressed their emotions in the comments, saying: 'Everyone truly wants to support Long Er.' 'There was a time when they were there for each other; they were the closest of friends.' 'I get the stage design; it really strikes a chord.' 'I feel so conflicted inside; it makes me want to cry.' 'This reflects the deepest feelings between friends.' 'Hua Chenyu (Hua Chenyu) courageously bids farewell to his brother in his own unique way.' △
