Bo Guagua Mentions Parents Crimes, Unable to Face Their Sins

On January 21, 2007, after Bo Yibo was cremated, the loss of his powerful backer drove Bo Xilai into a frenzy. He shockingly led his son, Bo Guagua, and his younger brother, Bo Xicheng, to sing The Internationale at Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery!

[People News] A few days ago, Bo Guagua, the son of former CCP Politburo member and Chongqing Party Secretary Bo Xilai, who is currently serving a prison sentence, held a wedding in Taiwan with Xu Huiyu, the granddaughter of Xu Wenzhen, the founder of Luodong Bo’ai Hospital in Yilan County, Taiwan. Since his parents were convicted, Bo Guagua has remained abroad. Although the wedding was highly secretive, videos filmed by guests surfaced online after the event.

According to a report by Agence France-Presse on November 30, a video suspected to have been filmed by a guest and uploaded to the social media platform X on November 28 shows Bo Guagua, dressed in a white suit, giving a speech in which he described his parents as having “sacrificed for the greater good.”

Similar to the statement Bo Guagua made ten years ago after his parents, Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai, were sentenced to life imprisonment and a suspended death sentence respectively, his view of his parents remains unchanged a decade later. At the time, an unverified statement attributed to Bo Guagua expressed disbelief at the charges against his father and claimed that the Gu Kailai he knew was not as the public perceived her.

Additionally, during that period, an image circulated online alleging that Bo Guagua was furious over the content of the verdict, which implicated him, and accused the CCP leadership of orchestrating organ harvesting crimes. The claim suggested that Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai were merely executors under high-level CCP directives and should not be scapegoated. Bo Guagua reportedly threatened, “If we’re going down, we’re all going down together!”

Now, does Bo Guagua’s reference to his parents' so-called “bearing humiliation” and “sacrificing for the greater good” relate to these accusations? At the very least, his remarks suggest that he is aware of his parents’ involvement in organ harvesting crimes. However, he frames this as “bearing humiliation” and “sacrificing for the greater good.” The so-called “greater good” presumably refers to maintaining the stability of the CCP regime. Bo Guagua seems to believe that certain CCP leaders used his parents as scapegoats. As such, he has not shown genuine remorse for the crimes committed by his parents. But is this claim accurate?

As early as February 2012, when Wang Lijun sought asylum at the U.S. Consulate, reports indicated that he provided evidence (including recordings and classified documents) implicating Bo Xilai in directing the live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, along with documents detailing the suppression of Falun Gong and dissidents by the political and legal system.

Further reports indicate that during Bo Xilai’s tenure in Dalian and Liaoning, he closely followed Jiang Zemin’s policy of persecuting Falun Gong in order to gain favor and achieve promotion. Bo’s rise to power was stained with the blood of Falun Gong practitioners. In the winter of 1999, Jiang Zemin promoted him to the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, where he became deputy secretary and acting governor. By 2002, he was the governor.

During his time as governor, Bo Xilai approved a 1 billion yuan investment to expand prisons across Liaoning Province. In Shenyang’s Yuhong District alone, more than 500 million yuan was spent constructing China’s first “prison city” on 2,000 acres of land. This facility was used to detain Falun Gong practitioners, especially those from around the country who refused to disclose their identities, making their repatriation impossible.

Aside from leveraging the brutal suppression of Falun Gong to gain political capital, Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai also displayed insatiable greed for wealth. Exporting organs and cadavers became one of their major profit-making ventures, facilitated by their control over numerous unidentified Falun Gong practitioners. This crime was later widely replicated across China under the CCP's direction.

International independent investigations have long demonstrated that Bo Xilai and the CCP’s crimes of organ harvesting are not mere rumors. Lawmakers, officials, and citizens from various countries have condemned these unprecedented atrocities.

On June 27, 2013, two bipartisan U.S. congressmen jointly introduced Resolution 281 in the House of Representatives, focused on “stopping the CCP’s organ harvesting.” The resolution demanded that the CCP immediately cease forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. It also urged the U.S. State Department to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation into China’s organ transplant system and to bar individuals involved in illegal organ harvesting from entering the U.S. Notably, Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun were explicitly named in the resolution due to their involvement in the organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners. Clearly, such an inclusion would be impossible without credible evidence.

Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai’s cruelty and depravity are far from the “bearing humiliation” and “sacrificing for the greater good” that Bo Guagua describes. Without their insatiable lust for power and complete lack of moral scruples, how could they have aligned so seamlessly with Jiang Zemin? How could they have willingly served his agenda? The crimes committed by Bo Xilai and his wife, like those of Jiang and the CCP, are beyond description. As their son, Bo Guagua, who has shown no remorse for his parents’ atrocities, may one day have to face the weight of conscience.

In 2012, a documentary titled Hitler’s Children by Israeli director Chanoch Ze’evi was released in the U.S., Germany, Israel, and other countries. For the first time, it brought together the descendants of Nazi criminals who orchestrated some of history’s greatest atrocities, revealing their inner struggles.

For example, Rainer Höss, the grandson of Rudolf Höss, the first commandant of Auschwitz, said his only reason for living was to atone for his grandfather’s crimes. He visited archives across Germany, collected evidence of his grandfather’s atrocities, and uploaded them online. His efforts to confront his family’s horrific legacy caused him to suffer two heart attacks and twice attempt suicide.

Another tormented soul is 71-year-old Niklas Frank, the son of Hans Frank, Governor-General of Nazi-occupied Poland, who was involved in the extermination of 6 million Jews during the Holocaust. Niklas confessed, “To this day, I have not been able to escape the memories of my father. I feel deeply ashamed of his actions.”

Bettina Göring, the great-niece of Hermann Göring, the infamous second-in-command of the Nazis and founder of the Gestapo, expressed profound disgust at her family’s history. She and her brother both voluntarily underwent sterilization, fearing the possibility of passing down such a “demonic” lineage.

So, when the crimes of Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai are fully exposed to the world and Bo Guagua can no longer feign ignorance, how will he respond? How will he confront the moral judgment of his conscience?
