Zelensky Rejects Beijing as Security Guarantor for Ukraine
In the Russia–Ukraine ceasefire negotiations, Russia proposed that Beijing serve as a guarantor of Ukraine’s security. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected the idea, saying that Beijing has consistently supported Russia and that he does not need guarantors who have failed to help Ukraine.
