[People News] Although Yu Menglong has been dead for over 50 days, the Chinese Communist Party authorities continue to remain silent and suppress dissent, yet the determination of netizens seeking justice has not waned at all. In this battle without gunfire, despite the vast disparity in power between the two sides, every netizen who speaks out serves as a beacon of light, illuminating the darkness before dawn. When all these small lights come together, they can pierce through the darkness; netizens are ready to engage in a long-term struggle, measured in years.
The voices advocating for Yu Menglong predominantly come from bystanders, including those aged 40 to 60. An elderly individual, nearly 60 and recently a grandmother, stated, 'Our children belong to the common people, and it is the common people who will protect them.' A netizen commented, 'We may be at a disadvantage, but we are not ignorant. In September 2025, he made me realise the kind of society I am living in.'
In the effort to support Yu Menglong, military descendant Lin Beichuan is charging ahead without hesitation.
On October 30, Lin Beichuan posted on Weibo, declaring that he is a retired border defence special forces officer, but this may be the last time he speaks in this role. Only the military can hold political power in check; military and political forces must balance each other. He earnestly calls on retired officers, non-commissioned officers, and all military personnel to stand up, one and all. He is willing to represent this group to report in real names and submit all genuine evidence to higher authorities.
A few hours later, Lin Beichuan's account was forcibly reclaimed. Some netizens attempted to follow it, but were informed that the user was prohibited from following due to violations of laws and regulations. Currently, Lin Beichuan's new Weibo account is Lin Beichuan 2.
Netizens have cautioned that Lin Beichuan's main account has been accessed by someone else, and advised against trusting the content there. Yu Menglong's account has also been accessed randomly, with many items deleted from it.
According to information circulating online, Lin Beichuan is a 24-year-old student and a third-generation military descendant. Initially, he did not wish to get involved in this situation, but under immense pressure, he continued to advocate for Yu Menglong, which led to him being invited by the Beijing police for a 'tea' meeting that lasted 8 days and 7 nights. A few days ago, Lin Beichuan once again reported Bi Bo (Bì Bō), the director of the Beijing Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau, and Wang Xiaohong, the Minister of Public Security of the Communist Party, but the images he shared were censored by Weibo. He expressed his frustration, saying, 'How can I sue these people? How can I fight against them?' Shortly thereafter, he became a target of online harassment.
An insider posted information revealing that Lin Beichuan is the only person who has come into contact with the truth. I can confidently state that his reporting has created a significant stir, and all attendees of the meeting are aware of it. My uncle, who works in a relevant department, was called back for an emergency meeting; everyone who knows about this situation has been 'interviewed' without exception.

The informant also mentioned that all the 'protagonists' being circulated outside are fake, and that the real individual is likely one of the highest managers depicted in the previous display images. They are unconcerned with rumours; their only concern is who uncovers the truth.
He also disclosed that the higher-ups became aware of his report, which felt like a direct slap in the face. They might gradually investigate his background, although this could take a long time.
A source familiar with the situation expressed concern for Lin Beichuan's safety, noting that he is genuinely confronting the issue this time and hopes to have support behind him; otherwise, the situation is quite precarious. It’s time to push back against the backdrop.
Lin Beichuan previously posted: "Honestly, the price of being a good person is too high. I can’t imagine what life has been like for the deceased over the years. I have repeated a past mistake and walked some of the deceased's paths. For him, I have only barely scratched the surface; he has endured for many, many years. Empathy is a terrifying thing; it is both torment and retribution."
A netizen shared: "I came across a comment today that moved me. Someone asked: How many Lin Beichuans can there be in China? A highly upvoted reply stated: Every person with a sense of justice is a 'Lin Beichuan'."
The name 'Lin Beichuan' has now become a sensitive term on Weibo.
On October 31, Lin Beichuan posted on Lin Beichuan 2: "This is really interesting."
It turns out that the posts from those netizens who participated in the online harassment against him were liked by Yu Menglong, who is involved in the case.
Netizens commented: "The bad guys are openly liking these posts; it’s a clear case of 'not hiding silver here'." "They have received praise from their financial backers; they did well."
Another netizen remarked: "One by one, they might all be secretly observing! So everyone should continue to write letters upward, and over time, some people will inevitably reveal themselves."
Lu Ban, a mainland writer who has been closely monitoring the Menglong case and raised 15 questions following the incident, believes that enjoying life, travelling, and making money are things anyone can do. What is truly commendable is the courage to uphold justice in the face of danger and to confront challenges head-on. Reflecting on the lack of justice and the historical significance of the moment, he posted: 'No more hiding it, let’s be straightforward: my favourite stand-up comedian is Meng Chuan, my favourite Chinese director is Lu Chuan, and my favourite Chinese province is Sichuan.'
Lu Ban remarked that his future prospects are nearly nonexistent, with various cultural projects and dreams prematurely coming to an end. 'However, I have no regrets.'
Netizens have expressed uncertainty about when the truth regarding the Menglong case will finally emerge. Nevertheless, this is a long-term struggle, and we must remain steadfast; goodness and light will ultimately dispel the darkness.
