[People News]  People News has obtained exclusive information from an insider claiming that Qi Xin, the mother of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, has passed away. The exact date of her death is unknown. The Xi family is said to be handling the matter very discreetly, and there has been no official report on her death. As of now, neither Wikipedia nor Baidu Baike has updated her status.

The insider revealed that authorities deliberately chose to keep Qi Xin’s death quiet, which is why the public is unaware. Before her death, Qi Xin reportedly lived at "Xinglin Villa," a residential compound under the Administration of Government Offices (GOA), which provides services to retired senior CCP officials.

According to public records, the GOA—short for the State Administration of Government Offices—is a vice-ministerial-level agency under the State Council responsible for managing, supporting, and providing services to the central Party and government organs. The agency manages finances, expenses, official vehicles, state assets, and real estate for central government agencies, and oversees daily life services for designated Party and state leaders.

Xinglin Villa is a high-security government facility and conference centre under the direct management of the GOA. Located near popular scenic areas such as Xiangshan (Fragrant Hills), the Botanical Garden, the Summer Palace, and the Wofo Temple, it combines conference, lodging, dining, and recreation services. Equipped with modern facilities and tight security, it serves as a venue for national-level meetings and a retreat for high-ranking officials.

According to public sources, Qi Xin was born on December 3, 1926, and was the second wife of CCP elder Xi Zhongxun. Xi Zhongxun once served as Vice Premier of the State Council, Secretary of the CCP Central Secretariat, and Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee.

Qi Xin and Xi Zhongxun had four children. Their eldest daughter, Qi Qiaoqiao, is currently chairwoman of Beijing Zhongminxin Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. Their second daughter is Qi An’an. Xi Jinping, the eldest son, is the current top leader of the CCP. The younger son, Xi Yuanping, currently serves as president of the International Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Association.

Qi Xin, who was over 90 years old, was the subject of death rumours several years ago. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022, unconfirmed online reports claimed that Qi had died on December 21 at the 301 Military Hospital in Beijing, and that the authorities were preparing to transport her remains to Shaanxi to be buried alongside Xi Zhongxun.

Soon after, mainland Chinese media Southern Daily reported that on December 24–25, Guangdong Party Secretary Huang Kunming, Governor Wang Weizhong, and other provincial leaders visited "veteran comrades" in various ways. Among the 15 senior figures listed was Xi Jinping’s mother, Qi Xin.

The listed individuals were all of full ministerial rank, including former Guangdong governors Zhu Senlin, Lu Ruihua, Huang Huahua, and Zhu Xiaodan, confirming that Qi Xin held the rank of a full ministerial official.

In 2023, during the 110th anniversary of Xi Zhongxun’s birth, a 97-year-old Qi Xin made a rare appearance in a documentary, recalling Xi Zhongxun’s life. The program also showed several family photos taken at different times, including images of Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan with his parents.

Recently, rumours have circulated that Xi Jinping has lost political power, and that Zhongnanhai is now controlled by Wen Jiabao and Zhang Youxia. Some rumours even claim that Xi may step down or semi-retire at the upcoming Fourth Plenary Session.
