In recent years, China has experienced increasing numbers of disasters and strange phenomena, particularly in Beijing, the capital. These unusual events have drawn significant attention.
From March to September this year, Beijing witnessed three fireballs falling from the sky. Following the fireballs, a comet appeared over the city. On October 1 and 2, some netizens captured images of the once-in-60,000-year visitor, comet C/2023 A3 (ZTF), sweeping across the Beijing sky. From October 10 to 12, shortly after sunset, the comet passed over Beijing again.
Throughout history, the appearance of meteors and comets has been considered ominous. When a meteor falls to the ground, it becomes a meteorite, which is often viewed as a precursor to major events or social unrest and is thought to signal the imminent death of important figures, an inauspicious sign. In March 1976, Jilin experienced a rare meteorite shower, and later that year, three top CCP officials—Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, and Mao Zedong—died. The Tangshan earthquake, which caused hundreds of thousands of deaths, also occurred that year.
Comets, meanwhile, are considered disaster stars. Historically, their appearance has been linked to military or political disasters. For example, comets were seen as harbingers of rebellion, military coups, the death of rulers, or the demise of prominent generals. A long-lasting comet indicated profound calamity, such as the death of an emperor or the fall of major cities, while a short, quickly passing comet was believed to predict lesser disasters.
The information currently being circulated by CCP leadership, along with rumors of a “coup” and political instability, aligns with the appearance of this comet. Ancient Chinese belief in the harmony between heaven and humans holds that unusual celestial phenomena are messages or warnings. Could these celestial signs be hinting at major events unfolding or soon to happen within the CCP?
Additionally, the question remains whether the deaths of the CCP’s top three leaders in 1976 will be echoed this year. On October 8, it was officially announced that former Politburo Standing Committee member and Chairman of the National People’s Congress, Wu Bangguo, had passed away. Whether Wu will be the only major figure to die this year remains to be seen.
What has further alarmed the CCP is the appearance of a blood-red sky in Beijing following the fireballs and comets. On the night of October 11, mainland media reported a large-scale aurora borealis visible in Beijing, with the sky appearing blood-red. Videos show the sky over certain parts of Beijing glowing red.
Blood-red skies have appeared multiple times in China over the past two years. In early December 2023, a blood-red sky suddenly appeared in Huairou, Beijing, becoming increasingly red before disappearing. The authorities attributed this to the aurora, though it is highly unusual for auroras to appear as far south as 40 degrees north latitude. Additionally, in May 2022, blood-red skies were seen over Zhoushan in Zhejiang and Fuzhou in Fujian, followed by a blood-red river in Baise, Guangxi—all areas connected to the current CCP leader.
According to ancient texts, the appearance of blood-red skies and rivers foretells war, famine, wrongful imprisonment, political upheaval, and even bloodshed. It is said that these signs indicate the fragility of the government and the ruler's precarious hold on power. Historical records state that when the last Ming emperor, Chongzhen, ascended the throne, the skies over Shaanxi turned blood-red, a phenomenon that persisted throughout his reign. The rebel leader who eventually overthrew the Ming dynasty, Li Zicheng, also came from Shaanxi.
Today, the convergence of meteors, comets, and a blood-red sky over Beijing suggests not only that top CCP leaders are in danger, but that the CCP regime itself is at risk. Adding to this, 2024 is the year of Jiachen in the Chinese lunar calendar. From October 8 (Cold Dew) to November 6 (Start of Winter), it is the Jiachen year’s Jiaxu month, a period known for turbulence. What major events might still unfold?
